  1. I have purchased from both The longfin and fish 307 with no problems.
  2. All in all, just a lousy deal for BC. I do hope you get your items back. It is possible. 6-7 years ago while hunting on public lands, I somehow left my hunting bow lying on the ground...Hoyt ultratec...pse competition pro arrows, trophy taker fall-away arrow rest, trophy ridge hunting sight...bow and items mounted on were an easy 1100.00 bucks. Short story, I got the rig back in about a week. One of my co-workers found out who found my bow and got it back for me. It is Possible.
  3. I use either cardboard rod tubes from ***, cabelas, bass pro, etc or I ship in pvc tubing(sp)?. No matter how you ship, I would recommend purchasing insurance. I have had two heavy duty cardboard rod tubes broken ...with rod broken inside.
  4. OOPS. Spoke too soon. The cowboys somehow won a game in which each team seemingly tried to play more poorly than the other. You didn't miss much...although McFadden looked explosive for the three plays they used him. 1st string Raiders vs. first string Dallas ....Raiders looked better, but no results. Palmer threw a bad pick. Dallas 1st team O was inept vs. Raiders 1st string D.... Other than that, really just a boring, poorly played, mistake filled game, even for the first pre-season game.
  5. Very funny. Loved the innuendos.....
  6. Made me laugh out loud.
  7. I have had good results using spinnerbaits from booyah, strike king, and especially strikezone's master blaster hidden weight spinnerbaits. The strike zone spinnerbait has "hammered" willow blades with scalloped edges. Not sure why these work so well, just know that they do. Also, look in the fishing videos section for the video Glenn did on spinnerbaits....very informative.
  8. AAhhh, perspective. That one made me laugh. Thanks Mike.
  9. just givin you a hard time... I am a cowboys fan, BUT I realize that I have NO ROOM to talk any smack to anybody. My boys will be lucky to be 8-8 again this year. IF McFadden can stay healthy, he could put up some huge numbers, but so far....well, staying on the field has been hard for him.
  10. Is there such a thing as "a huge dose of McFadden"??? I thought he only played 6 or 7 games a year?
  11. Just ran this past the wife....Texas sounds GREAT to me....she, however, was not impressed the highlighted part above.

Amen to that Sam. That young man also cost himself a LOT of money
  13. are you fishing from shore, or from a boat? Need more info to offer a suggestion please.
  14. Great, great review Bob. Thanks for taking the time
  15. I have owned and fished both. I prefer the feel of the PQ in my hand. Just a suggestion, but if you have never had either, and have the opportunity, take a trip to a bass pro and mount them on the rod you will be fishing. See if one or other is more comfortable in your hand. As stated earlier, both are very good reels. The PQ has several different gear options. In my opinion, you can't make a bad decision either way. Good luck and let us know what you decide.
  16. Give Gander mountain house brand "senkos" a try as well. I have found them to be very effective...the fish like them as well
  17. Goose52 and Fishing Rhino, Sweet rides for both of you. Every time I see these pics, I just can't help but think, d**n, those are SO cool.
  18. I have a 7' m cumara, and a 7'mh cumara. too be honest, the 7' mh would be all I would need, but they came in a package deal... I also have a 7'4" St. Croix mojo bass glass rod that I LOVE. I think it would be more suited to handle deeper divers. Fishing from the bank as I do, throwing mostly 1/4 ounce to 5/8 cranks that run from 2-8 feet, are all handled nicely by either cumara, but the MH is best "all-around" for me at least.
  19. Enjoy them every step of the way...soon they will going to college. My daughter is almost 12, and it seems like YESTERDAY when she was born. Time goes by so fast.
  20. Kinda like Sam's, who is obviously much richer....moneywise...than I 1. MONEY 2. Time 3. Wife & Kids Have started doing some night fishing so I am not away from the family as much. usually take a nap from 2-4 am or so, and then go home about 7-8. That gets me thru till bedtime that next evening. Plus, fishing at 1 am there is much less boat/fishing traffic.
  21. All good advice. X 2 what Sam said.
  22. That's GREAT!
  23. How many of you take into considerations how comfortable the reel is in hand , when mounted on a rod, while palming during casting, retrieving, and just fishing??? I have tried a lot of reels over the past few years, and it just feels to me like Shimano made the citica/curado 200E series for my hand...feels very natural, comfortable....all day long. NOT trying to get into a brand war, just wondering if this is a consideration for anyone else?
