  1. I was mistaken about what kind of roaches were in your boat...
  2. Heath kit...I remember them. You could build your own t.v. for gosh sakes !
  3. There are soft plastic sammys?, spooks?, whopper ploppers? I have not seen these things you speak of....
  4. I agree with slowing down your retrieve, but disagree on it being for deep water / bottom fishing. It's good in all depths. And I like the fact that it has no rattles....
  5. Ha ha, I have only 1 and it's the same as pictured....
  6. You have a ml, m, why not a mh?
  7. Lake ST. Clair has been #1 in the recent past, a bazillion people fish it, and look at what the FLW gang weighed in last week....'nuff said.
  8. I've retired most of my 70's/80's/90's baits except for some Cotton Cordells' Hot Spot (1 knocker) mostly because I had so many. They still catch 'em...
  9. What surprises me is the number of anglers that are afraid they will get snagged with a trailer hook (free swinging) but will bounce a crank with 2 trebles and think nothing of it. Don't be afraid. I use whatever brand is available (cheap) and slide a disc (hole- punched innertube) above the hook in the middle of the main hooks' bend. Keeping my skirts long hides the hook. I do not use any soft plastics on my spinbaits. Whatever works for you...
  10. What do you do with them after you shoot them with your bow?
  11. 2 Saturdays ago i was on st. clair when my boater caught another smallie, and I set my rod down (back deck) to grab the net. I had just made a cast with a 1/2oz. bladebait. We landed, measured, and thru the fish back in the water (paper tourney), and I turn around and my favorite stick / revo was gone. O crap! My partner looked back and 20' away the last 3" of the rod butt was sticking out of the water, so we were able to go fetch it. Full cork handle kept it afloat.....
  12. bb86: if you squint just right it almost looks like a small- mouthed largemouth....
  13. I hope you have a sampo ball bearing swivel tied on about 8" above your spinner, sometimes that swivel will catch/hold the weeds, allowing the bait to stay clean.
  14. Me thinks I doth protest too much!
  15. Are power poles / talons worth the money? No. Don't believe me..ask someone that has them. The honest ones will say they hardly use it for fishing, but will use it at the ramp or when they stop to eat lunch. It's just jewelry for your boat. Just like tackle. People that own $300 + rods will swear by them. What are they gonna say...they spent $300 on junk? Rods/ reels / lures.....they are just tools. It's not how much they cost, it's if you know how to use them. Do you need a gold plated hammer? I just hope that the newbies out there don't think that NEED expensive tackle to catch bass. It may enhance your experiences, but you don't need a #400 rod/reel outfit to have fun.
  16. Ajay- I have never seen a snowthrower that had tracks, must be available only up north...
  17. Thanks for sharing, it doesn't sound like fun to me either.
  18. Sorry...sometimes I can't help it. Bring your snowmobile suit.
  19. Geez Roadwarrior...I would have never guessed that YOU would need a guide...I would do what Hollada says...
  20. All the cranks you listed are considered wide wobblers. Tight wobblers usually have flat sides..bandit's flat max, rapalas' shad rap , you get the idea.
  21. Wow! An 11 month house rental? That must cost a fortune. (may 27 to april 3)
  22. Just send your white rods to me. That goes for anyone else that doesn't like any rod color they don't like...
  23. Don't get hung-up on which brand name cranks to use, just make sure you can cover all depths...
  24. Get a boat! It doesn't matter if it's 12' or 20', it opens you up to so many more opportunities and fish. Try to learn something on every outing. (different location / technique/bait).
