The 3 on the bottom of the first picture are Lazy Ike . (don't remember the model name, but I have a 1/2 dozen of them) These were some kind of hard foam- not plastic. The one directly above those 3 looks like Rebel "R", and the bass look like Bagley's fingerling series, except for the eyes. Maybe.... I type too slow, there were no responses when I started..?

Well, truth be told, I was hoping for someone with a Bullet, Bass Cat, Ranger, Skeeter, or Triton would make fun of your Stratos. Thankfully, they are above that. When I see someone fishing, be it from the bank, a kayak, or any type of boat, I only think hey- they are out here fishing, and hopefully they are catching and having fun. I love my deep v "pike" boat- my feet and decks stay dry in in 2' rollers, my 11 gl. fuel tank lasts for 3 outings, and I have fun and so does anyone I take...

As fans of bass fishing, we all win. If I were b.a.s.s., I would be devastated. If I were f.l.w., not so much. Although I like the mlf format and love to watch, I think over-all it is inferior to the biggest 5 format. It is a lot harder to catch 5 bigguns than 15 dinks. I almost feel like I could compete in mlf, but not bass or flw….

Put a dozen regular guides in your left hand, and a dozen micro guides in your right hand. Notice all that weight savings? Wow! How many more casts or fish will be caught in a day? Think how much weight could be eliminated if they just GLUED the guides on. No thread or varnish needed. And get rid of that pesky decal to save even more weight. No thanks, I will not buy a micro guide rod. I think they look dumb anyways....

To me, reeling faster is easier than reeling slower. I remember when a 6.1 to 1 was a fast reel. Also, the first Berkley lightning rods were "100 mph" fast. (it said so in their commercials)

I am sooo jealous! The "barred rock" pattern (lower right) were my favorites. I never ordered anything from them (Northwoods) , but I did order the 25 pack of off-brand lures from Sports Liquidators!

I remember Northwoods in fishing facts magazine...nice ads. Those hair jigs they sold looked great. Greatest mag in their day....

Over time you can tell just by looking at it how much it weighs and how deep it should run....

I find it easier to just reach in the bag and pull out another bait....

If your bail rotates counter-clockwise (looking from rear of the reel), then lay the spool on the floor and make sure the line comes off counter-clockwise. Always works for me...
