Fishing was a little tough on Conroe yesterday for the Bass-N-Bucks tournament. A little over 27# won it and at least one dd was weighed in. Most said the bite was off due to the lack of cloud cover and high skies. Results are not posted yet on their site. Should be a better bite today with the cloud cover for the Ignition tournament. Word is a lot of fish still deep.

Agreed. And now they have gone and used the grass carp to kill it again. Fishing will be great for a while and then back to the same old crap.

Above post is right on and if you don't take it to a dealer and have the motor checked you deserve whatever you get. The charge to check it out will be the best money you ever spent.

If you need one don't go to the dealer. Just stop by the closest auto salvage and pick one up for less than a few dollars. Much cheaper.

My 150 Merc does the same thing. Once your on the throttle it is fine and I have quit worrying about it. We change it out about every 18 months and it has always done this.

I am totally unprepared when a hurricane hits down here. My home is within two miles of saltwater so we generally are force evacuated; however, we were not for Ike. Like most of the rest, if forced to leave we do so it makes no sense to stock up. If we are allowed to stay I'm in the long lines at the store stocking up with everyone else.

And he left us out with the low humidity request. Ours hovers around the 90% mark most of the time. Wait until he trys out our 31* with 30-40 mph winds. He might change his mind. Nothing between us and Colorado to slow down those winds.

I'm not sure the 15.9 is a safe bet. Would not suprise me at all for a 16 or 17 to show out of this lake.

I did not mentioned because I was on the lake. Sad I did not catch it. I had not even heard about it until I read the post. The lake is well known for fish like this. Catt, just let me know. Lake is 45 minutes from the house. Bass-N-Bucks is on the lake this weekend. We will see how many DDs come out of there at weighin. I'm betting at least three or four. Man I feel for all of you. We went 11 days without power during hurricane Ike but it was warm. Gotta be extra tuff with it freezing outside. Good luck and god bless to all of you.

They are killers on Toledo Bend. Many of the old timers in several of the east Texas clubs swear by them.
