  1. I wish... Believe me I don't spend that every month. That's the point when she starts bringing down the hammer.
  2. Read in yesterday's paper it was .50, not 50%. Heck who knows though. They are after every penny they can get thier hands on. I don't know. If the tax was .20 a gallon and they increase it by 50% (another .10) wouldn't that be better than another .50? :-/ I thought someone said here that the tax was suggested for the hybrid owners because they weren't giving their fair share? All I know is that gas can go up .25 in a day or two, but takes a month or two to fall half that much. > Amen to that!
  3. At the request of my wife, I tend to watch the outdoor dollars a lot more than I use to. She is the one still working so she has the first choice, second choice, and any rebuttal options on the table. I only spend what she allows(500.00 max. monthly for tackle and entry fees). Makes it so much nicer around the house.
  4. X2, but if you decide to tackle it remember that a little oil goes a long way. Just a drop(No more). Oil the bearings on each end of the spool shaft and the washer if it has one along with the line guide pipe. Grease the worm shaft, gears, and a drop on each end of the spool shaft. If you have not had a reel apart be very careful. You will end up with extra parts(At least I use to) and that is not good. If you want to try, go for it; you can always box it up and have a repair center reassemble it for you. Good luck
  5. 1. Oldham 1/2 oz. jig (Blk/Blu or Camo) 2. Trap, 1/2-3/4 oz. (Rayburn/Red, Sexyshad, Chrome/Blue) 3. Senko or 7" T-rig (Watermellon/Red, Camo, P,B,&J) 4. Stanley Wedge SB, 3/8-1/2 oz. (White w/white colorado/gold willowleaf) 5. Buzzbait, 1/2 oz. (Black/silver blade) Many more and not necessarily in that order, depending on water clarity as to colors

  7. 1967 Chevy Nova. Ran it for years in IHRA and NHRA. IHRA it was set up with a 6 cyl and Doug Nash 5 speed trans(SS/3K). Set six records with it. NHRA I ran a small block with a powerglide in SS/LA, three records. Has a narrowed 9 in. ford w/5.86 gear under the rear now.
  8. I bought it to rip a trap around the tops of grass. Plan on trying it out during the tournament this weekend. I have a couple of Revos but neither is a 7.1.1 ratio. Intrested in seeing if their is much of a difference. I was hoping some others had allready tried them out but have no responses from any owners yet. Hopefully several that own them will post. If it turns out to be a piece of crap it's on the way back for a high speed Revo. Will post my thoughts when I return after this weekend.
  9. I'll be flexible to. Just let me know and we can work around my schedule.
  10. If you are thinking about a south Texas hunt on one of the high fence ranches you are going to find you are a little short of funds.
  11. Well since oil has fallen over a hundred dollars a barrell since last year shouldn't the price of a gallon of gas be under a dollar? LOL. Guess it's time for our friend the government to tack on another round of taxes to each gallon to cover the shortfall. Look for them to hit us with another .10 to .20 cent increase to help with our road building fund. Or the general fund...or any other fund they want to have at their disposal.
  12. Pitt and Philly probably.
  13. Muddy, I got one of the spinning reels covered. Send me your address. I'll throw in a hand full of cranks also.
  14. If you had been standing in my boat in 2008 you would have been sold on them. How about back to back 6s and three sacks over 20+ in tournaments last year with them.
  15. Well other than changing hooks I have never had a problem with any of them. Some(At least 50) are over ten years old. If I had to count I would bet money there are over 100 in my boat. Never ever a problem except the hooks. I will not fish one unless it has the updated hooks put on it.
  16. Anyone fish these. I just bought the 7.1.1 ratio tonight and not sure how I will like it. Did I mess up? Please let me know. Thanks
  17. The weights will shock everyone. No telling how many double digit fish will be caught. I'm betting it will take 27+ a day to win it and a few 30+ lb sacks.
  18. I don't blame any of them. They are all trying to maximize the dollar.
  19. I have tournaments on Feb 14, Feb 28-Mar.1,Mar. 7-8 &14-15, April 4-5, April 11-12 . Other days I am good to go. If it's midweek that is even better. Ooops, Jan 17 is booked. I am open the rest of the month unless I decide to fish another one or two. Wesley, looks like your scheldule will work with mine. Now we need to get Catt figured out.(If that's possible).
  20. Yep, and gas went up another .03 this morning to 156.9 Just an introduction of things to come.
  21. I'm up for it. Just not this Saturday. Have our first club tournament on Rayburn, so I got to show for it.
