  1. VERY SLOW for me also.
  2. I would like to set up an electronic networking system for my Skeeter. I have many questions. Is it possible to set it up by using one chip in one unit allowing the other two units to read the map at the same time? Is there a bandwidth issue? If it states the unit is NMEA 2000 standard will it allow units of different manufacturer to coexist?. If so does it have enough bandwidth to allow the screen to show in realtime? Are there copywrite issues? Will the NMEA 2000 network allow multiple sonar/gps units to use a single antenna? Can you run the other sensors such as temp probes, speed sensors, and fuel flow sensors? I am wanting to connect a Hummingbird 797 with a Lowrance 522c and maybe another that I have not purchased. Any help will be appreciated
  3. T-rig.. X2 on what Catt said.
  4. Not near as thick as it was six months ago.
  5. Story in our paper says he walked in front of one of the trucks.
  6. Welcome back. Glade you made it home in one piece. If you happen to get this way you have a seat in my rig for a trip to Sam Rayburn.
  7. I'm ready when you are Catt. The smallest stringer I ever weighed in one day weighed 15.08. Many 20+ with the largest being 29.61. It is without a doubt the best lake I have ever fished as far as weight goes. Big water, but the wind can ruin it quick. I'm fishing the TABC open last weekend February and it is possible (Heck we can move some club members around to make sure it is) I will have a back seat open. Room is covered, gas is covered. All you will need is your food and your part of the entry fee. If this interest you let me know. I can change my scheldule and we would only need two nights(I can skip one practice day). It will be a sight fishing slugfest. Tournament is one day (Saturday) and the entry fee is 160.00 that we could split. Registration is at Beacon Bay. This is a two man team tournament, not a club tournament. Only requirment is to be a member of TABC(20.00), and it's covered for you if you want to go. It's about 5 hours from my house. You could meet me here and we could go down together. My house is one mile north of I-10 on the east side of Houston.
  8. Exactly why I run a hand operated model with a big foot switch mounted on each side of the boat. Too cumbersom and the cable always breaks at 1:00pm during a tournament(Or at 11:00 if your fishing with Catt).
  9. A few things that will stop a man from fishing: Buy,own, or work at: A marina Boat dealership Tackle shop Had a life long fishing buddy that bought Doyle English Marina many years ago on Toledo Bend. Each day started at 3:30am and ended around 9:00pm. He no longer had the time, energy, or desire to fish. Any free time he happen to acquire was spent as far away from the water as he could get. Sold the marina after about 15 years and it was still several years before he had any desire to get back on the water. The busy days are the weekend so you have to be there. Unless you enjoy hitting the water by yourself during the week forget about it. You will have to listen to everyone else's fishing stories instead of living them. Be very careful what you wish for.
  10. Well that helps. Guess they got a little more hell raising behind the scenes than we will ever know. The guys are still going to have to learn to make it with a rod in thier hand. Good luck to all of them.
  11. We are short one room in Zapata the last weekend in February. Anyone got an extra? If anyone has a cancellation please let me know. Need it Thursday - Saturday. Thanks, Jack
  12. Thanks for the report. Any idea what the big bass was? How many DD weighed?
  13. Muddy, the lures will be out to you this morning.
  14. Not advisable in this area, unless you like staring down the barrel. Nine out of ten(10 out of 10 women) are locked and loaded in this area.
  15. Nope, not in this life. Most I have ever forked over for a lure was 18.75 for a swimbait back in the early 90s. Have never been bit on it either. I'll stick with what I have.
  16. That's all part of my property tax bill. I don't break it down by what the tax money goes to. Well it stated property taxes(We get billed that way), but either way I get hammered. Ours is seperated and we get a bill from each with a seperate tax rate including a MUD tax that is outragous.
  17. They are back to 154.9 here this morning.
  18. No IPOD or radio in my boat. Just me cussing the wind when I'm on the lake. Cell phone is enough distraction for me.
  19. Figures...I have a tournament Saturday with a low forcasted in the high 20s. Back seat is open, but I have not advertised it. Didn't figure there would be any takers.
  20. Here's mine: 169,900 X .0056 ________ 951.44 Don't get me started on the school taxes and all the other items though. School taxes alone run almost 5,000.00
  21. Is it possible to get an open season declared on their members?
  22. I had not even noticed until I read this post. Just shows how unimportant they are.
  23. Not going to happen, too much baggage on ESPN's side of the table
  24. Yep, and you have to space them out to cover them. If she included gas and all the other expenses I would only be fishing a 50.00 entry jackpot every other month. It just cost a lot of money to get away and have a little fun.
  25. Good job. Boat really looks nice. Enjoy it.
