H2o Jerkbaits vs LC Staysee and Pointers
I thought the same thing. As a matter of fact, I almost bought a few H2Os the other day when I was in Academy since I had heard many good things about them. I bought two of the crankbaits when they first hit the store shelves. The ran every way but straight. You could not tune either of them. The last sound they heard was hitting the bottom of the trash barrell. The old saying that you get what you pay for did apply to those two lures. Have not spent a dime on any other of the lures. I'm sure there are many that catch fish and run true. I just have not bought any of them and ya'll can tune the rest if you like. I'll stick to what I have use for.JMO.

Yep, pigs fly. Heard it the other day. LC anything over H2O anything.

Mike Leach fired
As weird as he was he had them playing with the upper schools. I hate to see him go. He will get a job reguardless when he is ready. The school is fixing to be out a lot of cash.

Mike Leach fired
Well, hopefully they contacted Elvis to coach the bowl game. I'm sure that would be Mike's choice.

Anyone doing a Christmas tree brushpile this year?
interesting. I might try something different this year with them. Even though the branches are too close for a big bass to settle in for cover, hopefully it will still attract baitfish. Last years pile sucked I think because of it's location. This time we are going to do it in about 8 feet of water off this large point that holds fish. You need the deeper water nearby. I set mine up out deeper and work my way up the deeper side of a hump. Works for me. Place then 15-20' apart. I don't place them in a straight line either. Just zig zag them up the side out of the channel.

Do you attend the BPS annual Fishing Classic in FEB/MARCH
I have two stores within an hours drive of me. I always attend both. Lots of reps you can leach items from. I'm such a slug. They give the stuff just to get me out of their hair. The secret is to load a basket with lots of their stuff before you approach them. When done just shove the basket down an empty isle and take the freebies to the car. Then you make another run at another rep. Works like majic. LOL.

What lure are you?
Mike's a Chigger Craw for his ability to get under people's skin. Hang on, Mike will be here shortly to address this.

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
Heck Catt, just send them to the 944 humps.

Y'all Pick
Skeeter, and hang the OPTI on the rear. The Yamaha will be fine, I'm just partial to a Phantom Black engine. I'm calling shotgun when the boat arrives.

I will sink a couple. They are not really piles though. Mine are set up like fence post leading to a spot I currently like to fish. They are more effective for me that way.

Tungsten yes or no?
I swore I would never spend the money for tungsten weights. Then I fished with them. Can't do without them.

So Yall Want To Learn Toledo Bend?
I think I have a spare. I am holding one for Catt, but let me see if I can put my hands on another and will let you know. FYI, the reason you can't find them is because they are not available. These are maps I got from a rep that are done by another mapping site. mapcard.com

Winter Bass fishing?????
My largest trap fish are always caught in the dead of winter while my fingers and toes are burning. More often than not while I am ripping it back to the boat for another cast.
-
What'd you get?!
X2, it's all about them anyway.

Look at this idiot.
D*&b A*& has way more money than sense. Now he can go spend more of daddy's money to replace the clutch, pressure plate, and throw out bearing. That 600.00 he mentioned won't even begin to pay the labor, much less the cost of the parts. He will be surprised when he discovers that the car has more than one clutch disc sitting behind the motor. Price just went up some more.

What is a "typical" entry level sponsorship deal or arrangements?
Will do. Sorry if I hijacked. It was not my intention.
-
Rubber vs Silcone skirts
Both. The rubber will flair more by tightening down on the wire used to attach it to the jig.

Things that make you go hmmmmm?

What is a "typical" entry level sponsorship deal or arrangements?
The guys I know that have a boat deal have explained it this way. Company furnishes the boat to the angler at start of the year. Paperwork with cost of boat is finalized at the beginning of year. Angler fishes and promotes out of the boat during the year. A specified date is set for payment for use of the boat. Angler should have the boat sold at that time. Company delivers next year's boat. If prior year boat is unsold, angler must pay company for the boat he has fished from in prior year. New year's boat sits until older boat is sold. When boat is sold the company takes it back, and goes over it to ensure everything is in working order before new owner takes it. I know several that have ended up with two boats on their hands more than a few times. It does create a hardship. I am in no way saying that all boat deals are done this way. Just the few I am familiar with. I'm sure some have deals that cost them nothing. I just don't know that for a fact. Jack

Max 150 H.P. Circuit
Good point CJ, but I fully expect some will borrow a boat to fish the Sunday tournament. I know I would. Not sure how they will address any off limit period or pre tournament practice. If it comes close I, for one, intend to give it a try.

Max 150 H.P. Circuit
American Bass Anglers is putting it on. It will be open to any boat up to the max horsepower, aluminum or glass. They hope it will be a stepping stone into the Bassmaster Weekend series for some anglers. They will be Sunday, one day tournaments following the Saturday weekend series. Entry fee is 150.00. Looks like the only series to test the water will be in the Alabama/Tennessee area to begin with.
