  1. I have several packs(Probably20) of his lures. One of my favorites.
  2. I know about the rain. I was in Arlington Saturday and Sunday. They got a little over 8 inches at my daughter's home. Thankfully I was not on the water. congratulations on the sack of fish. You earned it.
  3. First thing I do when the boat gets backed in and parked.
  4. Nice fish. The buzzbait is one of my go to baits. Reguardless of the weather.
  5. Nice cat. always a dead give a way when the slime starts creeping up the line.
  6. Let me know Catt. If I don't have mine ready to rock and roll by the first weekend, we will punish the old Pro Gator we fished out of.
  7. I just hate reading stories like this. Hopefully both will recover, Prayers to all involved. I've been through a broken hip. The worst part is the daily blood thinner shots in the stomach area to keep the blood clots from harming them. Mine went on for almost 6 weeks. They hurt.
  8. Not sure of the wind speed(Probably 40+), but when you went down in the bottom of the swells you could see nothing but water around you. It ain't fun in any kind of boat.
  9. I will be on Rayburn prefishing for the TABC State Championship next Saturday(22nd), Sunday(23rd), and the next Thursday and Friday(27-28th). I have a back seat open. If anyone would like to tag along just let me know. Bring your tackle and what ever you want to drink. No money accepted for gas. It's on me. I will be launching at Caney Creek. 10. If you put in at Oak Cove go south under the bridge and fish the humps on your left above the dam. They are easy to find on a map and just as easy to find on the water. fish the cuts and outer edges out toward the deeper water. Or, you can do like a ton do and go to Grape Creek.
  11. Nope. About twelve miles north of the Indian Mounds.
  12. Yep, I have myself a little milk run of brush I have deposited in the lake. If you decide to do it, do it at night or mid week. Otherwise it's known to more than a few. And before I get jumped on there is no law against it here.
  13. Sad end to a good looking boat. Now the story I want to see is how they got thrown out to begin with. Could be they just bailed and let it go. Wonder if the note was current?
  14. Credit Unions. They normally will have the best rates and they tend to loan on the older boats.
  15. Yea thats where i took it today with the current owner, but it probably wont be ready for a while, its a project, i just hope the stringers and transom ae ok :-/ matt Takes two minutes to know the answer to that question. One walk around the boat should have given you the answer.
  16. Thanks, but it don't look too swift right now. It's missing the main item(Motor).
  17. Go with what ever floats your boat. You are the one that will be using it, so go with your gut feeling, congratulations, and enjoy. Jack
  18. You are facing a very expensive job if it is a total redo. You might look at a wrap. I was facing the same issue several months ago. I ended up going with the wrap and could not be happier. Send me your email and I will send you the before and after pics. It saved me a ton of money. Jack
  19. Exactly why you consistently catch the larger fish. When you face the bank 90% of the fish in a lake are behind you.
  20. I don't know of one, but it would be a simple cure to rig it up yourself with mono and a treble hook.
  21. Roger, You are forgetting the Guadalupe bass found only in certain waters in Central Texas.
  22. It's really a labor of love. I did one several years ago and I would think long and hard before I decided to try it again. I've already said it, but I'll say it again: You have way more talent, patience, money, and desire than I have at this time. The boat looks great!
