  1. It is a decent bait and comes in some nice colors.Very easy to walk, especially for a beginner. I haven't thrown mine a whole lot,but have caught a few on it.I personally am not a big fan of the extremely loud obnoxious rattle it has and usually sway towards my spooks, sammy, and BPS slim dog.
  2. LOL ;D x1000 Gift cards for all!
  3. My personal opinion is You can do better for 20 bones. I haven't so much as had a bass breathe on these lures.I think the fish laugh when they see this thing.
  4. My .02 says that the Dick's by me sucks and they never have these fabled sales or enough stock around when they do : If I was you I would ****** em up then doctor the paint jobs if the color is crappy 8-)
  5. I got a $25 gift card for bps and plan on getting one.Naturally they don't carry the Spro, which is what I want.(dam you again bass pro!) Now what? I can't decide which color to get or whether to get the sinker or waker :-/. Monkey says I need to get some more money and get two floaters and two sinkers :
  6. Oh forgot. The hardest thing to learn is fishing cover. You WILL feel everything and it takes a little practice and patience to stop driving the hooks into every stick or rock. A sensitive rod helps.
  7. Thats all I use and it isn't that crazy I use 10 or 15 lb power pro,a flexible rod and loosen the drag some. I can get a rapala dt-6,for example, down to 10 ft easy or a dt10 to 15 ft on a long cast. It takes getting used to and every time you switch line diameters or types you have to start playing with retrieve angles again until you get aquainted with how the bait your throwing will perform. Hopefully Stringjam will chime in.If I am not mistaken he said that is all he uses also.
  8. But another variation of this is to just kill it all of a sudden and let it drop then resume.A good way to catch followers 8-)
  9. I also like to use big slow blades around here 3/4 oz bait #5 colorado and a #7 willow or a 1/2 oz bait with a 4 1/2 colorado and a #5 willow is good too.The big girls slam it! 8-)
  10. Which is also why one might want a silent rattletrap that coincidentally works great on pressured water 8-)
  11. Update in case any was wonder wondering: I have not been able to fish much(mystery illness or whatever the hell : ) I got out once with it and scored el-zilcho. Think I'm gonna try again tomorrow. If the weather is going to be foggy and calm in the morning, like I believe it will be, then conditions will be ideal
  12. x2 and don't try a spook either 8-)
  13. I am not to the left or right on this one either. The fish have to tell you what they want.At least it isn't hard to tell or doesn't take long to figure out if a buzzbait will work or not.
  14. Was just wondering though. They are quite good to eat better than the farm raised ones you can get at the grocery store. They are very plentiful, legal to use a castnet on also. Normally a strict vegatable eater they are easy to catch with a small hook with a splitshot with redworms or maggots dragged down a shallow shoreline especially when they spawn(which is about 8 months out of the year lol) They are a menace around florida and will overcrowd a pond in a haertbeat.
  15. Just load it with nutmeg and it is pretty fantastic.
  16. I wonder do they have tilapia that far north of here? Can never pull too many of those buggers out of the water.
  17. When I read the thread title I was going to respond the exact same thing ;D yes I have on many occasions pulled up small minnows, tiny shad, baby brim, and bass fingerlings on the hooks of cranks and traps.
  18. Very funny! Did momma drop you on your head when you were a baby? JK Thanks!
  19. C'mon now and try and keep it clean : LOL
  20. I throw watermelon and smoke at night, makes no difference ;D But ya,I thought that black in large worms was a standard thing too.
  21. ;D Who are you kidding!?
  22. Yep, we have had similar weather here too Catt and I have been tied up in the house with some mystery illness drooling every time I look outside.
  23. Well, I agree too plasticman. The biggest problem I see is when one only has to scroll back 1-3 pages to find at least one post on how to use topwaterfrogs, jigs,or flukes. The big three. We even see those same thread titles on the very same page at times.
  24. Not sure if those were made. Keep an eye on e-bay.I checked but didn't see any. I did see some jointed ones that looked real sweet though.I didn't know they made those either til now.
  25. Shame about your rod Dan. I was just laughing at you jpg. name ;D
