- is anyone else?
No, no such problem for me. I have dsl and an "older" computer but it only takes seconds for me.- So what other forums do you guys go to?
Thanks, a friend sent the drawing into to a site I am a moderator on. I belong to a group that tries to monitor radical Islamic activity around the world but of course I try to specialize here in USA but with special interest in Israel and the Middle East. I have been active since 1971. What information that comes out onthe terror intel. sites is scarry enough but few Americans pay any real attention to the number of plots that have been stopped. I have been able to talk with some of the people inside Lebanon and Iran. Of course their information would have to be verified but the info. they are supplying is really the type of things nightmares are made of.- My most sincere apologies to all
We are all human and therefore of flawed nature subject to making mistakes. Taking responsibility and trying to change mistakes takes courage. I did not see whatever post you are referring to but I give you credit for taking steps to correct what you yourself see as something you regret. That I appreciate in anyone and look forward to your continued presence.- Float and fly, will flyrod fill this niche?

Japan Tackle's Recomendation is: Basically, all Shimano and Daiwa reels are very smooth and you will be mostly satisfied as long as they are from the two manufacturers. In details, Daiwa reels feel lighter in cranking, and Shimano feels a little more dragging. Daiwa Digi-gear models are smoother than Shimano reels, after 2004. Shimano gears tells a little more vibrations to your fingers. Jun's comment: Great BUY The best value spinning reel in market. As smooth and light as the high-end Daiwa Airity, Luvias offers the most value of all small spinning reels for freshwater use. The Luvias is the Japanese equal to the Fuego spinning reel I believe. Someone correct me if I am wrong. I have the Luvias and it is a great reel especially for the price. You can get many more sizes in the Luvias than the Fuego and it is cheaper if you shop the Japanese sites. Here is a link to an American site that has a great article on them. http://www.georgescustomrods.com/Dawai%20Luvias%202500.htm If you want light then you need to look for the magnesium framed models. everyone has there own tastes so try to find someone that has some of the models that will you try them if you can. You another loves you may hate. At today's prices you don't want to find that out after you bought a new reel. Have you read Avid's thread on spinning reels? http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1164488426- Favorite Dog to Walk
LC Sammy, Spooks, , and Spit-N-Image I caught my first nice bass on Bull Shoals on this one.- ? AboutTaking Dogs Fishing
Yep, I had a canoe/kayak resort on a river and had the same problem with dogs running loose. Our rule was dogs must be on a leash at all times and under your control at all times. After one warning of a violation, you were subject to being ejected from the resort with NO Refund if you were "to dumb to follow the rules" (my paraphrase now of course). Really, the owners were the problem 99% of the time and not the dogs. We allowed dogs only by prior appointment so controlled the type and number. Untrained dogs are just as annoying but not always as un-mannerly (un-trained) children. I will bet we have all experienced our quite fishing experience shattered by ill mannered teenagers on jet skis, ski boats, and as far as that goes ill mannered adults that motor at speed over your lines, etc. That is one reason I am glad my lake has 1100 miles of shoreline so I can find a spot away from others bothering me and so I do not interfere with others fishing or "boating" preferences. Many people today just have not had the benefit of parents that instructed them in looking at a situation and considering how an action they may be considering may negatively impact someone else and that such behavior is not appropriate. Too many only consider what they want to do as if it is their "God given right" and if it bothers some one, else that is their problem. It infuriates them when it happens to them but they just do not seem to connect the dots too "do unto others as you wish them to do unto you." You may now have the Soapbox.- Chills
Theraflu and lots of it. http://www.theraflu.com/index.shtml PS. I love the chicken soup too.- What Makes Lucky Craft Worth The Extra $$ ?
Like RW has posted, I try to buy mine on sale at either at BPS as an in-store-special, or at a friends shop, and every once and a while I can get a steal on ebay but rarely. I did pick up my four LC Slinder Pointers for a grand total of $24 but those prices are like panning for gold nuggets. I have been able by being patient to get most of my Lucky Crafts at between $9.00 and $11.00. That is not cheap but better than $15 to $20 as each little bit helps to maybe buy more than one.- How much Lucky Craft do you own?
4- Slinder Pointer 127 3- Pointer 78 2-Moonsault CB350 4- Sammy 115 That's all till a friend's tackle store has his year-end clearance sale.- Check out these lures. Made from real food.
You mean you never fished for catfish with pieces of cut off hot dog before? At least if the catfish are not biting you won't go hungry.- ? AboutTaking Dogs Fishing
I agree Bulldawg. I lived on the gulf coast of Texas for a number of years in one of those houses up on stilts located on canals right on the water. I personally have had to save a chocolate lab from drowning because he could not climb out of the canal and I know of too many dogs that were not so lucky. My dogs are my children and I would no sooner let them on the water without a lifevest than I would one of my grandchildren. The vests are cheap life insurance.- Boating and Fishing Superstitions
It sounds like you got the point muddy_man or was it more than one point? ;D OHHHH!- Quality spinning reel
Hey Avid, I don't think you can go too wrong with the upper end of Shimano, Daiwa, or the Quantum Energy PTi-A. I have handled the Stella FB and it is awesome as it should be for that price. I have a Daiwa Certate, which is the closest I have to the Stella as far as smoothness and costs a lot less. My Daiwa Luvias, is probably the best performer for the price paid which was less than my Shimano Sustain was but I like the Luvias better. Using your criteria and knowing a little of your tastes as you love your Daiwa TD-Z I would say try a Stella FB 2500 and then try the Daiwa Certate 2500 R-Custom. Right now, you can get some steals on the Certate from GrinPeche.com. It is a Japanese site that sells both the Stella and Certate at cheap prices direct. While the Stella is for sue the standard all others are measured by here is why I have been interested in the Certate 2500 R-Custom. 2500 R-Custom: the mule of gear box of 3000 and rotor of 2500. The R-custom also receives machine-cut handle. The combination offers the more gear efficiency and components durability to 2500 reel, making it the most powerful 2500 reel in market. Of course, this is Daiwa describing their reel but I do like the 2500 spool on the 3000-gear box and the machine cut handle, which is more similar to the Stella's than the factory Daiwa. Right now on Ebay the Stella 2500 FB is going for around $399 Sustain2500---------------------------$210 Stradic 2500---------------------------$120 Stradic MG --$148 Certate 2500 R-Custom--------------$300 to $339 Luvias 2500----------------------------$195 to 200 Quantum Energy PTi-A 20 or 30----$ 120 I have at present a Sustain, Certate, Luvias, Energy PTi-A and all are serving great. However, it is dependent on your personal tastes and how you plan to use it. I like the Energy PTi-A but it is a little heavy if you plan to cast it all day but it is as solid as a tank. If you are looking for a spinning reel that is light, smooth, and the quality of a TD-Z I would concentrate on the Stella and the Certate then pick the one that feels best to you. That is just my 2 cents.- winter fishing

Excellent suggestions SPEEDBEAD! My two toy poodles have life jackets that have a handle on the back of the jacket as well as a leash attachement ring. What type and size of boat are you going to try to take all three dogs out in?- Fat fish farmer-G Loomis

- where do you store your equipment?
Eulerentinc, I lived on the Gulf Coast of Texas for 15 years. I know people that have kept their equipment both ways. If you only use you tackle in fresh water you can probably get by keeping it in the shop as some of my friends did however if it ever sees any use in saltwater I would definitely keep it under climate control to reduce corrosion. My personal choice was under a similar circumstance to run a line off my central air to my tackle room, which was insulated, but not climate controlled to make it climate controlled. The AC was over size for the house anyway and the AC guy said it would actually help the unit be more efficient. To my way of thinking even a small window, ac unit is cheap insurance when considered against the thousands of dollars I have in all my gear. I'm lucky because half of the tackle is my wife's since she is a fisherwoman.- Got my BR.com package
I ordered my wife two sweat shirts for now but she says she may want more. Guys I would love some of the Tournament Shirts but there was no "small tent" option for us 6' 5' 330lb ballerinas.
