Red is my pick for sure.....and black would be my second choice. IMO Purple is a terrific soft plastic color, which basically represents both Red and Blue which are two popular subsurface colors. Many of us old timers still rely on purple hues in our baits and having a red dip would allow just that by mixing it with blue. But none of you young'uns need to actually add purple to your color schemes...it's only for us old guys Big O www.ragetail.com

Come on ColdwaterBassin....you promised you wouldn't say anything about our stinky little friend ;D And here we have Micro giving out the secrets of fishin' Space Monkeys on keel weighted hooks....isn't there anything sacred anymore : For sure Micro, I often throw them the same way along with lobsters, craws, lizards and annies. Hard to beat keel weighted high action plastics over grass or in shallow water. Nice photos. Big O

Hey friends, really sorry about all of the "keep it quiet" stuff, but as you know I have to do just that. Was able to show some of the proto designs to our members there at Kentucky Lake and appreciated your responses. I also promise to show them here at BR first, just like last year because you guys and gals have been with me from the start. Hopefully, I will have all of the back up info including variety of uses, hooks sizes and styles, weights etc. prior to launch. This should help with questions that might arise. I had to leave Wed. morning but had a great 5 days with everyone there. Now this is how a get together should be...lots of fishin', laughin' and storytellin' going on in every minute of the day and night. For sure a time to remember and thanks BR Family for putting the ROADTRIP together. There were alot of folks behind the scenes that were busy bee's and I promise all of us who were there noticed the work and effort that was constantly going on to make it happen. Terrific post Chris and I too fish the same areas on variety of lakes year after year but out on deeper main lake structure. For a fact we repeatedly catch the same wonderful fish several times over the years and verifiy them with photo markings etc. "Old friends" is a great way to describe them because we do become kinda partial to them since they so graciously come out to play with us now and then....becomes more of a hopeful visit than a challenge huh....Thanks again, that was a good read Big O
