  1. Hey moloch16, the wave action might have had something to do with it but it first took your childs desire and then your gentle hand to make it happen. You're a great Dad and all children should be so lucky.... Big O
  2. Lick the hook tip and bend prior to inserting in the bait ---(sounds familiar). Be careful not to stick your tongue... ;D Big O
  3. Welcome to the group Jparlow and keep on sending in those pictures of your fishing feats. Looks like you know how it's done and great job.... Big O www.ragetail.com
  4. Awesome story and terrific memories to go with it. We all love to hear about Great Dads and Moms that are so considerate and spend true quality time with their children, as well as introduce them to the outdoors and wonderful world of fishing. Congratulations to you both and thanks for the post.... Big O
  5. KVD's works much better than the other, IMO Big O
  6. Great post Catt, you must be experienced (nice way of saying OLD) enough to remember when the Bass fishing big spoon craze was first born back in the early 60's, and who led the charge....Johnson Silver Minnow. Didn't know that was 24 carat on the gold ones, I might have spent more time trying to retrieve them when hung up. :'( Some of my favorite memories of that time was in many of the Florida lakes swimmin'em through pads and eel grass with a white Uncle Josh 6' eel trailer.... Glad I was younger then, cause that kind of fishing is not for the weak at heart. And it looks like Spoons are back!!!!! Big O

Hey Rand, One of the young boys comments was that the fish just made a huge boil in the water and the Rage Toad with 6/0 EWG was gone....immediately followed by a hookset and a long hard fight. I can only imagine the sight of a boy his age and with a "fresh oversize HAWG" at the other end of the line.....A scene he and his Dad will never, EVER forget. Big O PS thanks Nitro, glad you like'em
  8. Good job Nitro, Sounds like that big fish had your number....But what a terrific adventure that was both fun and memorable. Thanks for telling us about it Big O

WTG WIII-60, That's terrific and a real trophy regardless of species. Many of us ole timers have caught big cats on bass gear but 30 lbs is a real whopper. Just the thought of the that battle really "fires me up" Wow Big O www.ragetail.com

  13. Hey Donbeatya, Don't know how big she was but "BIG'E'NUFF". I have always found it hard to make a guess on hand held fish unless I knew the size of the person holding it. I am a big o fellow with big o hands so I try to stay out of the pictures and let clients or friends hold'em.... Glad you like the Craws Big O www.ragetail.com

  20. Wow, that's such a great looking rig. You did a terrific job thruout and Your first fishing trip will or has told you just how good it is. Kudos for a well thought out and executed plan. My hats off to ya Big O
  21. Lack of forage in warm water high metabolism times is probably the reason....Also a sign of issues with predator and prey species out of balance. Big O BTW Welcome to the group Lambo6, hope you're enjoying the forum....we sure do!
  22. welcome to the group..... Big O
  23. That's a good'un Paul and going back for'em is often the way many hit their largest fish. In time past when fighting a rather large fish up to the boat we see "The One" right there with'em. I have rarely caught that fish immediately but more often gone back later and "Fish On". Way to go and great detail on your adventure...felt like I was there. Big O
  24. Yes he is Nitro....He will spank you on the water and hug you on land, "HE IS DA MAN" Big O
