Use weighted hooks just like you would a standard Offset or EWG but without a bullet weight ahead of it. I like Moaner weighted screw lock hooks, and use both 1/8 and the 1/4 oz depending on speed of fall desired. Use them for fishing any and all soft plastics on top of grass or in shallow calm conditions with a light lift and fall presentation. Also gives you many different finesse styles to choose from, slow horizontal fall like senko but with more action, or slow swim like a swimjig or swimbait. Hope that helps Big O www.ragetail.com
  7. Either one is fine but I prefer 5/0 Owner off set round bend or a Moaner 5/0 which is a screw lock style hook (Has a wider gap) and seems improve hook up% over a standard EWG. During the day time I always tip the end of the tail w/JJ's chartreuse. Hope that helps Big O www.ragetail.com

When you can say that you're worn out from catching fish....you've had a terrific day on the water Many of us head out each time to fish only wishing we can enjoy such success and just think, you have the scars to show for it ;D Big O www.ragetail.com

The hookset should definitely be on a relatively tight line and as quick and firm as possible like other jigs with brush guards or weedless rigged soft plastics Then next priority is keeping alot of pressure and a tight line on'em during the fight. Many times the hook actually penetrates the fish's mouth during the fight back to the boat....this is especially true when using Mono or Fluoro. Big O www.ragetail.com

Hey Sam, were the fish scattered or in groups??? I've found that in groups they might flee with the bait to avoid competition and when scattered they'll often stay put in their personal space Like you mentioned, temps and barometric pressure could've played a big part too. 11. WOW...Nice looking fish T-rig Big O www.ragetail.com
  12. Actually there's only one thing that seems bigger about those two photos, it's the "BIG O SMILE ON MY FACE" Wonder if someone makes a camera that can make my 250 lb belly look smaller ;D There's a 10" Thumper in the second ones mouth...hard to make a fish pushing 30 inches look little Haven't fished since the week before ICAST, but gonna take my GrandBoy to jerk on some Moose Lips (Carp) and Hybrids tonight....Now these fish are sure gonna stretch his line Big O www.ragetail.com
  13. Are you fishing from shore???? Big O www.ragetail.com

Hey Sarge, I only fish Soft Plastics and jigs and the top 5 can change from one day to the next...Sure you can guess the brand But on a C Rig I use only one bait...Eeliminator touched with Chartreuse JJ's on the tip of the tail. Only thing that might change with this set up is the size of weight used depending on depth and wind conditions. Big O www.ragetail.com
  17. Hey Andy, I designed the Rage Thumper several years ago around the same time when I came up with the Anaconda. The Thumper is a straight Worm with a hyper swim tail that can be clipped along a provided score line to change it to an even faster flapping motion. And the Anaconda is a full body curl tail worm with an undulating swimming motion. They each have their strong suits for bass fishing and this year, I have utilized many of my fishing trips to test colors with the Thumper. Somebody's gotta do it and thanks everyone for the nice comments... Big O www.ragetail.com
  18. Welcome to BR again Joleree and hope you enjoy yourself here...This is a Friendly Group Also glad you like the Rage Craws on weighted hooks, I do as well and find more and more times when this style of rigging is necessary. The Anaconda got it started for me many years ago fishing over grass then I started using weighted hooks on all of'em from time to time with improving success. Big O www.ragetail.com
  19. Now that looked like a fun get together and you made new friends....Perfect Another great reason to FISH Big O www.ragetail.com

  22. The Shrimp is 4" long and yes they are extremely durable and will average more than two fish FOR SURE. Glow with Chartreuse Tail is one of the shrimp colors selected on this first go-round. And the Elaztech was chosen for Saltwater application to get past the pinfish and others to the gamefish without being destroyed prior too. The scent formula is a long lasting gel and the real deal Big O www.ragetail.com
  23. Here's the New Rage Tail Crappie Grubs we debuted at ICAST last week. They should be available in the Fall. Hope y'all like'em. Big O www.ragetail.com
  24. Here's the New Rage Tail Salt Water Series Shrimp and Crab Designs that debuted at ICAST last week IMPORTANT: They're made from a new Elaztech Material and you MUST keep them separate from other standard polysol plastic baits like our other RT's are presently produced from. This material is extremely durable and High Floating as well. There will also be a re-sealable tube of our Saltwater Formula Scent included in the bag. I squeeze a small portion in an empty bag and massage a rigged baits in it prior to casting...it stays on the bait for a very long time and the fish LOVE IT Each can be fished on jig heads, T rigged or C Rigged and on a variety of hook styles both weedless and open. When C rigged, they'll float up off the bottom regardless of your hook size. As with many of our other products, you'll need to separate each of the small tear tabs prior to fishing. BTW...Bass eat these too Hope Y'all like'em Big O www.ragetail.com
  25. I have to keep my jig boxes under the front deck or I have a tough time getting my boat up on plane ;D Glad you're having a good time with'em EGB I think that flapping action on the Rage claws is "Fish Braille" for BITE ME Big O www.ragetail.com
