  1. Hope all went well ! There is now way to even prepare for a moment like that, enjoy every second of it! I know after my son was born the next two days/nights were a blur! Keep us updated!
  2. She'll never forget it! Good work
  3. Mattm sent me a pm, and said the lure is on the way, but it has not yet arrived. I will be sure to put it to use as soon as I have it in my possession, though. I'll keep you all updated!
  4. If your wanting to fish that bad, just go out and give it a shot. Even if everyone on here said you would catch something for sure, and you didnt, its better than sitting inside waiting and wondering. I spent 4 hours fishing a river the other night, knowing full well I would probably not hook a fish, but it still beat sitting at home waiting on a lake to thaw!
  5. the link is blocked from work, but I'm in once I get home! I'd love to say my boys at Xavier are making a run, but after losing to St. Joes TWICE in the last week (only 2 losses in their last 16 games) I'm not real sure they wont trip over their own feet on the way to the game. I have KU over Memphis in the final...we'll see!
  6. craw crank may be working this time of year. Make sure you read previous posts before starting a new one, this has been discussed a lot over the past few weeks.
  7. Rub it in! We moved from NC where we lived off DVR shows, hardly ever caught live TV cause every good show we missed was recorded. Now, in the part of OH we are in doesnt offer DVR yet, and we are hating it! Definitely worth it, I'd pay $50 a month for DVR just to catch all my fishing shows!
  8. Honestly, I tried a little of this an that, just to play with some lures. There was so much flooding that just under the water was a good 3 feet of thorn bushes and nasty underbrush, so I didnt throw anything I couldnt afford to lose. I just played with different rigs, but it was impossible with the current.
  9. Acid Reflux here too, been on nexium and prevacid, but am currently taking Aciphex...great stuff!
  10. As predicted, the only thing I hooked was a limb. The river was up about 5 or 6 feet, so it was hard to even find a decent spot to TRY to fish. The closest I came to a fish was walking over the dead Saugeye that got stuck on the shoreline from when the water was up a few days ago. The itch was scratched though, first time out this year!
  11. When I lived in Fayetteville, NC we lived at one of the nicer apartment places in town, and in that 16 months had to call the office (4) times, police (3), EMTs (4), and just because....social services! Ask them to please turn it down and consider yourself lucky
  12. I know, I know, but even if I leave having hooked nothing, at least the lures got wet, and I've been waiting to do that since November!
  13. first day to hit 50 in central Ohio, so I have to give it a shot. I'm taking my little brother out to see what he's made of, so hopefully all goes well! With all the snow melt the water levels are up and muddy, any tips would be appreciated!
  14. Heading out for a couple hours tonight, I'm going to have to drudge through muddy and snow covered banks all night, but hopefully I'll figure out a way to get a bite!
  15. WELCOME! Check out some of the articles on here that may help him out. I've learned a ton! to buy: bass pros, season 1 =look on ebay for it used to watch, hit up youtube, they have quite a few videos on there you could watch and pick some to show your pops!
  16. Good point, while I did find some pretty good deals on lures and a few other items, their reels and rods are certainly overpriced, even as a combo deal. Just simply avoid this company. I finally got an email back from them today stating that if I just tell them what line I was looking for they will be sure to add it to my order....no thank you! Taking my hard-earned dollar somewhere else from now on, like the gas station, for instance!
  17. I contacted Yozuri to let them know that the will likely not be selling very many products through them due to this huge oversight and this is the email I got back: "I did take a look at that and had a discussion with one of there employees on there and they were not too helpful. I will recommend www.fish307.com they carry all of our products and even if you do not see an item on there and if we still carry it they can special order it for you." So, I think its safe to say that boaters world is a company undeserving of our business, so please give your money to a retailer that cares about it's consumers and knows what products it sells!
  18. Definitely planning on going somewhere else from now on. I hope you all avoid this place too. This is the second time I've had trouble with them. Thanks!
  19. Its been a while since I've swapped any speakers, but you can never go wrong with alpine, clarion, or polk(sometime)
  20. Ouch, I think i would have had the tow truck drop my truck off in the lake after that one! If it makes you feel any better, I still have over a foot of snow in the front yard!
  21. I finally wanted to purchase some yozuri hybrid, so I decided to go with a company that takes the military credit card (starcard) so I went to boatersworld.com and found this mess: http://www.boatersworld.com/product/479955692msk.htm Maybe its just me, but how in the world do I know what lb. test I'm ordering???? the item number doesnt seem to match up to anything from yozuri...I'm confused, and they were far from helpful when questioned about it. I was basically told to guess which one was right or ask the manufacturer, but it is my feeling that the retailer should know the product and I shouldnt have to make phone calls in order to help them make a sale! Am I right?
  22. The Four Seasons? That poor feller must have been lost!
  23. First of all, welcome back to the buckeye state! I just got out of the Army and came back here also (4 years). I hope this helps you find what your looking for: http://www.ohiobassangler.com/mycustompage0008.htm hear good things about these guys: http://www.miamivalleybass.com/index.html
  24. x2
  25. The river I will primarily be fishing it on is mostly glacial sediment, so rocks/sand without very much vegatation. I need to order a few spot remover jig heads and give that a try for sure, and it sounds like a basic T-rig is a go-to tactic. Thanks All
