  1. unless you're taking food outta your kids' mouths, there is no justification needed.
  2. think pop-r. then think pop-r under 5' of water. just remember to break the cadence...twitch, pause...twitch, pause, pause...twitch, twitch, pause...that sort of thing. killer in cooler waters...they will work year round but, for some reason, as waters warm the softer jerkbaits (senko, fluke) seem to prduce more in my lakes. ymmv.
  3. the steez 100 handles 15# yozuri extremely well. in my hands, the 15# yozuri balances a h action better than a mh action. that said, it'll work well on a mh and i wouldn't loose much sleep over the difference.

was at tiger one time...1970, 71?...archie vs. the state of louisiana...and you're right about the 92,000. against my better judgement, i was very quiet.
  5. in my neighborhood, the speed limit is 75 once school is out.
  6. the bcr and mbr "4" powers are excellent jig/worm choices. just size to fit.
  7. good deal, mstarr. glad to hear things worked out well.
  8. backcasting works great. if you can cast sidearm righthanded and overhand righthanded, you should easily be able to overhand cast on the left side of your head...sort of across the left shoulder...learning to extend that movement downward to a sidearm backcast is not usually that hard. with a little patience, you'll be tagging the neighbor's cat at 50 paces.
  9. with mono, the pointer will suspend perfectly at 55 degrees or lower...over 55 and they slowly sink. fluorocarbon will cause a pointer to sink very slowly no matter what the temp.
  10. the expeditor service is $50.00...no questions asked.

the old adage "follow the money" applies here.
  12. actually, burley has a point. this is in connection with the administration's plans to require private insurance companies to pay for "service-connected injuries". breitbart.com
  13. if i remember correctly, the old us600 had the same feature.
  14. you can use a m/f for most cranks, as well...the mbr782 makes an excellent crankbait rod...in most cases. just watch the hookset...if you seem to be nailing your fish on the back treble, you may need to slow the hookset a bit or go to a more moderate action rod.
  15. check out cnet.com...tells you all you need to know. sorta like consumer reports for electronics.
  16. most of my topwater/jerkbaiting is done with an mbr782...crisp with a light tip...perfect for twitching with enough power for ripping. very similar to rw's avid.
  17. i admire his o.c.d.
  18. saw them in tuscaloosa around '71 and, again, at the fabulous forum around '74. they were very good in tuscaloosa, not so good in l.a....it was like two different bands playing the same songs three years apart. oh yea, tickets were $4.00 in '71 and a hefty $7.50 in '74.

to paraphrase william randolph hearst... good news don't sell papers.
  20. jerkbait, jointed shadrap, on the spinner. senko, zoom finesse, jig on the caster.
  21. american shad.
  22. don't really care for the reel grips. septon works for me. 8-)
  23. not to mention "844". seriously, 20,000 at anything is to be commended and, hopefully, not too many of those "goodnight, irene's" were mine.
  24. the new e7/e5 power handle will fit the 50mg.
  25. don't know about the clothes monkey but, the bait monkey's other sister, the shoe monkey, is large in this house.
