Metanium Mg
Raul, why would he be referring to the old version of the Metanium Mg ( Chronarch 100 Mg )?

Metanium Mg
Well, this isn't going to help you much but I thought I'd share anyway. I just purchased an Mg7 in January and as you know, it's still frozen up here so I have not been able to really put it to the test. But my initial thoughts are: -Sharp looking. -Light. -Palms great. -It has a more "connected" feel, as if you feel the gearing more (in comparison to a 51 Mg for example). This is probably due to the enlarged gearing. Still very smooth on the retrieve. -Comes with a protective cover. It will be placed on a G Loomis MBR 843c and used for T-rigs. Until we thaw out up here I can't really give a thorough review. These are my opinions thus far. Ditto what roadwarrior said! ("I like everything about the reel!") Great choice.

There is a rumor going around that trutungsten is going under
Which ones do you own and use? Review please. I live not as far North as you and I am wondering how they work with the Northern Strain of LMB I can't put out a review because I bought 2 late in the season last year. I took them out to a pond which I usually go to for testing new lures and I managed to catch a couple bass. They catch fish, but I'm still not sure how to use them really. All the lakes up in Ontario have a lot of pike so I hope I don't lose one before catching any LMB. Please do when you get them out. I am very curious how they work upNorth. For sure. From what I know, paddle tail swimbaits are really popular up here. I hear people talking about them everywhere I go. I haven't heard much about hard swimbaits yet. We'll see what happens when the season is around. In about 4 months.

With money no issue which reel do you choose
Have you fished an Aldebaran yet? How can you be so certain about it if you have not even fished it? Just because it looks awesome doesn't mean it is the next great thing. Remember how excited everyone was before the Curado 200E came out. And then, people started selling them. I am not gonna pass comment on the Aldebaran until I get my hands on one. No, I have not, which means I can't be certain about it. But, if it's anything like all the other Shimano reels I own, it's a safe bet that it will be impressive, IMHO of course. I happen to like my Curado 201E7, as well.

Round: Shimano Conquest (DC or non) Low Pro: Shimano Aldebaran, Chronarch 50/51Mg or Daiwa Steez ..........with money no issue of course.
