  1. I'm going fishing tomorrow between the hours of 8 and 12. I'm kind of a later in the day guy and never have fished this early before. Any tips on what the bass might be eating, or where they might be chillin out at?
  2. I've never used flukes or Slugos before and thought I'd buy some to try them out, but i dunno how to rig them or fish them.

  5. i have a MH rod that is fast action and has 45million modulus
  6. so far ive been using offset worm hooks, but i hear that straight shanks also work, seems a little low tech with all the fancy things u can do with a fishing hook now...
  7. T-rigged berkly power worm, going with a 1/16th oz weight if there was even a little wind, i like to be stealthy
  8. u must be doin somthing wrong with the clinh knot, are u using the improved clinch, cuz i caught an 8lber with the improved clinch and havnt lost anything with it.
  9. Usually u would catch a bass with shad..........now u can use bass as the bait!

What im using: Line: Berkly trilene xl smooth casting, 12lb test. rod power: MH reel speed: 6:1(i think) with 10 ball bearings, i also have a 1/16oz bullet weight I'm casting 1-2ft off the weed line and reeling it in parralel to the weeds. in about 2-3ft of water also the worm is t-rigged. im leaving the worm inside the worm, just a 1 or 2 milimeters deep
  11. I do this all the time. i go up and down the canal usually spending a half an hour in a zone, then move down some more, spend another half hour.

  13. I was using a 7in Berkly Power Worm, with an offset worm hook, size 2/0.
  14. Today on my first cast, I cought a nice 2lb LM, mabey it was that that doomed me. Anyways, back to the question, I "hooked" 4 fish, caught only ONE. before I landed the fish and was about to bring the fish out of the water, it would come off the hook by magic somhow. I only caught a few fish with the hook i was using the day before, so I don't think the hook would be dull. Can anyone tell me somthing that might be happening to cause this madness?
  15. illl have to look into one of those, i do a lot of walking to get to where i fish at so haveing a backpack-kinda-thing would be nice. (NO HIJACKING INTENDED)
  16. X2 sounds all too good, hmm ive just seem to run out of extra line : better hit up gander mt or dunhams.
  17. i have some pics on my phone but npt all of my fish. i had to climb down a steep bank to get to the spot, needing a free hand or two, so it was hard to grabe the phone to take a pic, but ill try and get them to ya. And yes i was back in the canal that is my permanet spot now, im heading there tommorrow after school to catch some moe with my bro. (NO HIJACKING INTENDED )
  18. i was at metro beach last saturday and cought 11 nice 3+ LM 1 baby bass, and a one LM that was a whopping 8lbs, ya i'de say things are goin good 8-)
  19. i fish where the water visability is always only about 1 foot if that. would braide line make a difference in low visability water?
  20. i was thinking about buying a boat that needs some work till its driveable. i dont want to spend $10,000 on it but i want a decent boat i can bass fish in. I'm going to get a job during the summer and my dad said he would help pay for it. any1 got any ideas?
  21. last friday i set out to catch my first bass, ive been on here loking up information and receiving information and have caught my first bass on friday a nice 3-4lb largemouth. the day after friday, a guy gave me a berkly power worm with a 1/16 oz weight. 2nd cast, FISH ON. he got off......but im sure he was one of the 12 bass i cought that day ALL over 2 lbs, one was 7-8 lbs. first real day of bass fishing in my life, and I AM "HOOKED" lol (pun intended... :-X) I also helped some kids a little younger than me catch some fish, it feels almost as good as catching them. thanks to all who have helped catch my first batch of BASS ;D

  24. lol no gators, i live in michigan there are pike in there though but i dunno if pike would bite me or the tube.....
