  1. Yep, nice mirror carp. These guys get huge! Yours looks liek it has a lamprey wound on it's side.
  2. The smallies are there, Jason. They're just not in the same places.... Welcome to the site!
  3. This time of year, it would have to be baked trout.....
  4. Don't overthink it! Medium heat, peanut oil, cast iron pan.\ Yum!
  5. I'm thinking he was in a deer stand, and probably armed.
  6. If you say so! Arguing over whos was worse seems funny to me. I think the bigger news is Eli's "elite QB" claims ringing true when it counts.
  7. Nope, a loss is a loss. They're both out, who cares.
  8. Personally, I would practice leeward side docking. Have your fenders in place, and one long line attached to the Bow and stern cleats Sounds like that's the trouble. Approach at a 45° angle to the dock at idle spped, under FW power. As the boat gets close the the dock, about 10-15', take the boat out of FW, and put it in REV while simultaneously turning the steering wheel toward the dock. A small bit of reverse throttle should stop forward momentums, and bring the stern right into the dock. Get out, grab your long line to temporarily secure the boat while you attach and secure proper bow and stern lines.
  9. Yep, trim parts from a Shimano spinner.
  10. Is this a biggest loser debate? LMAO.
  11. Stainless sheilds for me. Most Will use Orange Seal, and then not use the seals because they can't install them correctly. No issues with shields. Now, if the application was a skateboard, I'd go seals.
  12. How about an R bend at the top, and run the tag end back through, and do your barrel twist behind the sinker.
  13. You realize the container you linked to are easily 50 gal. capacity....that's over 400 lbs. The big opens here use a 100 gal stock tank on the ground for this.
  14. Hook is too light for anything I'd flip. Otherwise looks fine. I wonder about that loop getting fouled up. I see what you're trying to solve here. It's a start.
  15. Maybe. I use a 4-6/0 SSW hook from Owner. It's a bait hook, but works as well as anything I've tried. It's basically a gigantic 4x strong octopus hook.
  16. Go to a farm supply and ask for 100 gal. Rubbermaid stock tanks.
  17. Actual line from the story! Faux News is some of the best comedy writing out there.
  18. You gonna bring those to the North Country this year?
  19. Get a Hack Attack jig in 1-1/4 oz. I mean, if you are having trouble with hooksets on T-rigs, but not jigs, then stick to jigs.
  20. That's what flipping jigs are for.
  21. Why not flip a jig then?
  22. In your neck of the woods, start looking in early, mid May.
  23. Those bucktail jigs look perfect, nice work!
