  1. US Coast Guard rules are what drive state laws. Block lettering is not italicized, sans serif, with squared edges, meaning not bubble letters. Spacing is the width of one letter, not including "I". Contrasting color is also a USCG requirement.
  2. What I like about music only is that I can mute it, and just watch. My overall preference is for unobtrusive music overdubbed the natural sounds. Nice video, love the reactions to dropped fish. I feel the pain!
  3. You get your numbers when you register. You can find decals at any home improvement/hardware shop. They need to be 3" tall, and clearly legible at a distance, per US Coast Guard laws. This is one area where being stylish might get you a ticket. https://www.boatus.com/boatgraphics/uscg-requirements.asp https://www.uscgboating.org/images/420.PDF
  4. The two are linked via shaft with two universal joints. You steer with the same wheel you steer the main.
  5. Yeah, but if you are taking kids out, or my dad (kidding) they usually want the chair. Wrap them in plastic if they're gonna be in storage, to protect the vinyl.
  6. Keep the shorter seat for days you're just chillin' in a cove with the family.
  7. Crazy Confusing. Scroll Down to Lake O. Trib Rules. http://www.eregulations.com/newyork/fishing/great-lakes-and-tributary-regulations/
  8. Mine doesn't match my boat at all - look in my avatar pic. You'd want a taller, adjustable pole for this, and they usually come with the mounting bracket.
  9. That is the kind I prefer. I use the concave back instead of the front. Very comfortable.
  10. It's an aftermarket product. I see many pontoons around here with kickers used trolling for trout and salmon. I also doubt you'd void a warranty. I mean you can bold a seat on, but you can't bolt a bracket on? Doesn't make any sense.
  11. The slings are nice too.
  12. I would respool even if I knew what was on it.
  13. Wiggle Warts were an interesting thing. The issue was that it was the "bad" baits - ones that hunted and didn't track straight - were actually the good baits that were sought after and desired. Storm gets gobbled up, and that inconstancy problem get "fixed" and all the baits run true. Now you have all kinds of OG Warts jumping up in price, and people complaining the new Warts aren't as good. Meanwhile, people are unwittingly paying more for old Warts that work properly, while guys are hoarding the "bad" baits with the unusual action. It's a cesspool. I have a few of the true, "bad" hunting action warts. I paid dearly for them from a trusted friend. I also have some Sub Warts and Pee Wee Warts that I've had since I was a kid.
  14. Seems like they should pay for return shipping. I'd get back on the phone, and keep asking for someone above the person saying no.
  15. Man, when I was a kid, I couldn't wait to graduate to a triple-decker hip roof tackle box!
  16. I have both Okuma EVX 7' cranking rods, and they are really nice for $100. The MH version fishes a little heavier than my SC Avid AVC70MHM, but throws those deep diver plugs a mile.
  17. I throw the same Python colored Popmax or one eyed Sammy 115 in MS Am. Shad irrespective of water color or clarity.
  18. Every single on of the live craws I bought did this, with the exception of one color. These were stored inside. I have multiples of every size and color. Thankfully, BPS refunded me for the blowe'd up baits.
  19. I like a chest pack. I have an older version of this one: https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/white-river-fly-shop-270-chest-pack
  20. Yes, go to their page, and click on the demo program link.
  21. I camped on the Schroon R. this past October. Had planned on fishing George, but was having too much fun with smallies from the kayak just a small paddle away on the river. We too had a modest cottage and dock on Port Bay, off Lake Ontario. You could fish for typical slop/weed fish in the bay, or weather permitting, chase smallies and trout out in the big lake. I still go there from time to time.
  22. @Ksam1234 merged your thread into our original pit of despair thread. Snow coming tonight. Again.
  23. Whenever I'm up that way, I end up fishing Champ. I need to change that, and try George.
  24. Time for the Purge! Donate and toss.
