  1. I've bought MUCH more expensive items from ebay than fishing reels. Use PayPal, and you will be fine if something goes wrong.
  2. You're wrong, if it's under an ounce. This is from the state website: https://www.maine.gov/ifw/docs/LeadLaw.pdf
  3. Well, since they're being unveiled at the classic, that's about all we know. They're going to be pricey. That's about all I know.
  4. You should be alright to put the charger with the batteries. I always lift the lid and slide a small block of wood in when charging.
  5. I always rig it up, though I really do not feel it matters much.
  6. Foot, all day long for a bow mount.
  7. Doesn't sound to me that he'll be throwing 8" Hudds, so the heavy is a good size for these. If he wants to throw bigger ones, there's two heavier models in the line up, XH and XXH. I have the XH (2-10), and while it stinks at that lower range of 2-3, it throws 8" Hudd just fine.
  8. It's supposed to be an upgrade, at a lower cost. It has a tunable boot, and short legs, and is 1.5 inches linger. If the hook up ratio is like that of the Pad Crasher, then I think they have a winner. Do not start redundant threads. I merged them this time. Next time, I simply delete.
  9. What does country of origin have to do with where the reel is marketed? The Scorpion 70 is sold and marketed in Japan, there for this is a "Japanese Domestic Market" reel.
  10. Look at the Guide Select A series. The Heavy model will work well with what you want to throw. I have one. Very nice stick.
  11. I've never heard of anything like this. The weight of the boat, and the winch strap, and the two transom straps alone should be all you need to hold a boat in place on a trailer.
  12. Are they really? Hang the same amount of weight, like 8 oz, from each, and observe the deflection. I think what you're observing is not a difference in power, but a difference in taper or speed.
  13. Send it to Shimano for repair.
  14. They're doing it wrong. There's no bass in that pool. Try again....
  15. Looks like you got some of that sun this weekend, too. It was barely above freezing in the afternoons, but with no wind, and clear skies, turned out to be a beautiful weekend.
  16. The tool forces the grease into the bearing. It works like a champ. You can see the grease come out the other side, through the races. It’s the same way the oil gets in there, but under pressure.
  17. Penetrate what? They're either steel or ceramic. Grease and oil *coat* the bearing pack. Grease is just oil with detergent added. There is zero harm in using it bearings.
  18. Read the entire thread. Studies prove that both statements are wrong. Remove the hook.
  19. 15" of heavy, sloppy snow over night.
  20. His former user name was XpressH51. I'm going to assume he's just using what boat he runs as his usser name. Lots of guys do that.
  21. If there were more than two urinals, this would be a serious crime.
  22. Donkey rig or double fluke rig. It works.
  23. You'd better served with a vapor thin coating of light oil on this bearing. Grease is a no-no on ARBs.
  24. Nice pikeys, @Capt.Bob!!!
