Caught a nice one fishing the Kissimmee chain.

Not to disagree with your statement but I’m 76 years old & have been fishing for at least 60 +years. I have never had to exercise a reel warranty in my lifetime. I have always adhered to buying quality products over price so I don’t buy cheap reels. Buying JDM reels is a no brainer when the yen disparity is in your favor because the warranty is not important when buying quality products like Shimano or Diawa. Just my experience based on about 20 some JDM reel purchases.

I talked to a local guide last night. He said the last hurricane moved a lot of surface hydrilla into mounds. But the high water & redistributed hydrilla has scattered the fish. It is fishing tough right now with fewer big fish available.

The other solution is to tie your braid to a very small swivel & then your leader below that about a foot. The swivel’s I use are small enough to pass thru the tip top guide with ease.

I have caught over 100 smallies six lbs & bigger on mono leaders attached to braid and three over seven lbs so my success dispels the mono versus flourocarbon myth. None of those were on topwater baits.

Yea and they were down 10-0 before they woke up just like OSU was down 10-0 at PSU. Until somebody beats them they are a Cinderella team for sure. But they have two big games coming up.

When it comes to football it's hard to beat Michigan, Penn State or Ohio State from the big ten. The SEC has a few winners as well.

My only success under those circumstances was using a SK lipless titanium blue & silver ripping it as soon as hit the water. Then ripping it again after a short retrieve. Definitely a fast reaction bite that really worked that day.

Very slight upgrade for me with a 5.5 & 5.25 to 28.44. Fall fishing can be bear on the big lake when mother nature doesn't cooperate.

They have a quality coach & quarterback. They are looking like a sleeper in the BT so far but they have OSU & Michigan & Michigan State on the schedule so we will see.
