I use either yo-zuri hybrid on spinning & maxima ultragreen on casting. The maxima is a little two stiff for spinning. I have heard excellent reviews of mean green mycoy co-polymer as another option.

I don' t get the attitude comment from his videos. Everyone I have seen he comes across as a blue collar guy that really gets excited with big fish. His excitement almost gets in the way of finishing the video. What behavior have you noticed that I haven't picked up on?

3/4 or 1oz jigging spoon. Keep trying the trolling motor to match your drift speed with the current speed. Thst will make a big difference.

If your are trying to vertically fish deep water in current you really have to understand boat control. Matching your boat drift with the current speed makes it a lot easier. You might have to consider heavier weights as well. Try 3/4 and or 1 oz. Welcome to the site.
