  3. Lakers Unlimited on lake athabasca northern Saskatchewan. 2nd choice would be taltson bay big pike lodge on the taltson river off great slave lake. These are locations for trophy pike with numbers if that is what you are looking for. PM me for details.
  4. Have you checked the line guide on your reel? Something is causing the abrasion of the braid.
  5. I picked up a NRX802CJWR from tackleware house during the 20% off sale for fishing light weight jigs for erie smallies. I have it paired with a core 50mg7 and 10lb braid & 12lb maxima leader. Since I got it I have only used it with suspending jerk baits for smallies because that was what was working at the time. It is a very light combo and a pleasure to use. Very light tip for casting. My only objection is that the back to back uni knot lets the tag end of the mono leader catch on the small recoil guides when reeling in. I will try the alberto knot to see if it resolves the issue or dedicate the combo to floro. Extremely sensitive rod as well it should be for the price. It loads up nicely after hooking up and is capable of handling big smallies in open water but really lets you enjoy the fight because it does not overpower the fish. In fact big smallies on this combo actually felt bigger than they turn out to be after landing them. I caught numerous fish between 4 lbs up to 5-15oz on it this fall before winterizing the boat. Try one if you like but they will & do spoil you.
  6. At 62 I'm sure I qualify. We all think we are younger than that reflection in the mirror.

  10. Nice video recap of your season. Thanks.
  11. Smart move Wayne.
  12. George your making me sick. I'm itching to get out but this cold front is nasty.
  13. 3.75 to 4.25 lbers. Nice fish from a beautiful spot.
  14. Beauty! Congrats on the new PB.
  15. Shimmy hit it on the head. 3-3.5lb maybe 3.75. Nice bass.
  16. Hey sodaksker, those other brown fish have you fooled for a while even when you first see them because of the color. I had a 10.5lber fool the dickens out of me. Thought I had the new lake erie record on!Lots of fun but definitely a let down.
  17. Heck those would look good even up at erie. Nice job!
  18. Don't be afraid to throw some bigger jerk baits around current deflects & slower water. Here in PA a musky angler was throwing a musky jerk bait & landed a 16lb+ walleye two weeks ago. Walleye will hit very big baits just like bass & northern. Plastic swim baits with paddle tails are effective also.
  19. Looks like you might have doubled your previous pb from that little pond. And look at all the gas you saved! Nice bass.
  20. New PB's are always special. WTG.
