  1. Havent knowingly killed a fish in 10 years now and dont plan to start
  2. Not true on the rods and reels. The reels were a three day event as are the rods.
  3. I wanted to buy one but you all are a bunch of sick fish hogs. My bass pro didnt have a single one on the wall... not one. Do you really need 100 packs before even seeing if they work?
  4. Be careful with that blood sugar nonsense. I had a buddy who was diagnosed pre teen. He neglected it, skinny guy, eventually lost his sight and it eventually killed him at 23
  5. Must be nice, calling for 4 inches of snow here
  6. watch those amps. I have one and i had the grip coming loose and had to epoxy it. last time I was in dsg every one they had was broken. $1 might be worth one
  7. That super is a tough one to get walkn
  8. I couldnt even begin to tell you how much stuff I bought. Im most excited to throw my own jigs. I have a white bladed swim jig I tied up recently with a blue back that I am going to throw a skinny dipper in clear blue on. The damiki air craw looks great to me. I wanna try a cavitron with a rage frog on the back just for something absurd. Theres a custom crank I bought painted like a gill that looks real!
  9. I take it youre not a member of a club? My club has 25 events this season but the only opens are the lunkers.
  10. Our club has a lunker tournament every wednesday in July on Sayers. Howard launch, we launch at 6:30 and fish till 9:30. Come early enough for boat inspection. Theres an open tournament in july held by capital city bass on the susquehanna at shicshimmy(spelling) state park, its a buddy format $3000 guaranteed first place. Theres another coming up on one of the rivers but I dont have the details yet. When our lunkers end in July another picks up in August on Howard(sayers) but its a different club and Thursday nights. They start at 6pm. Ill be in the fish for five series. Just talked to the director today, gotta send my application next week and get new hubs installed ASAP.
  11. rapala j9 - black & gold or black & silver with a feathered trebble front weighted to suspend nose down
  12. Dan infalts site "hunting beast" is probably THE TOP NOTCH place to find TACTICAL advice. Be prepared to totally change how you hunt and think about how you hunt. Noclue, you a member on dans forum? My username over there is jlh42581
  13. Offer your boater some money He paid for The ... boat boat maintence boat insurance trailer trailer maintence tow vehicle registration for the trailer and boat When the pump breaks, he fixes it, when it needs bearings in a trailer, he fixes it, when both vehicles need tires... he fixes it
  14. Okechobee would have 200lb bags next year. You would need a three day total of 600lbs to win it
  15. contact your states fish commission about doing a project. some states will match any money you can raise. if its a park they might already have the funding. it takes man power to build fishable structure and the state looks to bass clubs and volunteers to get it done.
  16. My home lake has zero grass, as in none. There are carp in it. I do well on all techniques though so I cant help you much there. There are too many variables. Line size, hook size, bait size, color choice, pressure, how you fish...
  17. Heres my koi.... I got it because of the story behind the koi fish and because I love fishing. I had it done with money I received from my grandparents who were by far the most influential people in my life in regards to the outdoors. Its my dedication to the people who made me who I am! Maybe I should get a hellgramite on my head. My grandfather used to pick them out of the river, take his hat off and put them in his hat. I thought he was nuts lol. http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_does_a_koi_fish_tattoo_symbolize
  18. 95% of the time I am flipn&pitchn laydowns and chunk rock as I believe thats where big fish truely live. The rest of the time is all the other techniques but drop shotting is my #1 backup tactic.
  19. Take a look at the hunting industry and its rampant with guys pimping stuff they dont use. I have heard of guys shooting deer in predator camo only to completely switch outfits before taking photos. Its all a big marketing game when it comes to sponsors but they certainly use whats working that day.
  20. J I can see where you are coming from with that theory. I guess I didnt look at it from that perspective because I live 5 miles from one of the most over fished fisheries in the state of pa. Im used to those fishing those conditions every time I fish. Ive seen situations also where the fish are still in spots but they only feed during a certain time. The fish didnt move out, they just shut down. You might catch them on a spinnerbait one day and the next day they only want a crankbait during a fifteen minute window of the day. Theres also a lot to be said for guys going out and pre fishing. I hear guys all the time... "Man we POUNDED them here yesterday, we are going to really hammer them today now that we have them figured out." The fish didnt leave, they simply sat on that spot and stuck most of the fish in that hole than wonder why they dont bite the next day in a tournament.
  21. Keep in mind also, thats standing on the trolling motor non stop, Not adjusting position and fishing, full out running it.
  22. Their version almost sounds like a mototune
