  1. I have a large box from the dollar store / walmart with to clasps on the side. Its large.... 20+" long and as wide as a standard bag. I have no less than 25 bags of plastics in it and thats with plastics condensed into hefty slide ziplocks. Theres no point in taking up the space of three bags when one bag can hold all of the pumpkin/watermellon tubes. The only ones I dont mix with other colors are whites. I also dont mix gulp baits with regular baits.
  2. you dump hog tonic in your boxes? you my friend are insane! I was putting some in bags of plastic the other day and called the old lady over ..."smell this".... "GAG... oh my god dont ever ask me to smell anything like that again"
  3. I love sufix products however I bought a 600 yard spool of seige awhile back and got it in 14lb... mono that heavy just never works out for me. I stripped both reels and changed them over to braid.
  4. Call Poor Richards bait shop http://www.poorrichardserie.com/ or check fish erie site http://www.fisherie.com/

  8. A musky in that climate would make the most sense. Without seeing the sides its anyones guess.
  9. No I bought it a few years back because at the time there were no large crankbaits on the shelves. Ive thrown it a couple times, it needs a HEAVY rod. Ive never fished it long enough to see how it would do but the recent trends have me thinking about it. I also have another made by the same company which is a large perch.
  10. the tool is called the bends mender
  11. What separates that specific boat is its ability to run in shallow water.
  12. I agree, if I was slapn the money down for a NEW aluminum it would be an xpress
  13. Ill take them all
  14. 4"? - Rage tail size... my one local lake I have caught 16" white crappies on crankbaits!
  15. Well folks, the other day I installed my new wheels, getting rid of some old rusty cheapos for some nice new aluminum bling... needed new tires and it wasnt much more. Anyhow, in the process I felt a problem, grease on the inside of the rim aka a blown rear seal. I have been trying to no avail since last summer to find out what bearings these hubs took. First things first, this is the older hub, one with bolts instead of studs/lug nuts. I decided these are going goodbye as theyre a nightmare for doing maintance. Anyhow back to my story. I called tracker they told me they didnt know, I called other dealers and they didnt know. The only way to find out was to pull the whole hub. Today, I pulled the hubs to get measurements and order new hub assemblies, the entire package. First I pulled the bearings out to look for numbers, these bearings must be originals because the numbers are gone. Thankfully I used to be a machinist and out came the dial calipers. This is a strait spindle, not tapered, both the same size bearing inner and outer. 1.063" is the inside diameter which cross references to bearing L44649. If you have a trailstar near this age I would say Im pretty certain this is what you have as well. Now that my new ones are on the way I will order the single kit from BPS in the near future to get the carrying box as their replacement hub is these exact measurements. Ill keep it in my car incase of breakdown. Ive been left sitting in the middle of nowhere via a bearing failure and its not fun. So... regardless of what trailer you have check your seals this spring, check your grease and if you need it rebuild your hubs. Its one of the easiest things to do there is and takes common hand tools. If you own a flat head screw driver, lug wrench and a hammer you can do this yourself very quickly. Please note that my trailer doesnt have brakes but I wouldnt think that would be much harder just a few extra steps.
  16. On my lakes I have to find a balance because the panfish population is absolutely sky high. So I might want to fish a grub but cant at times because I cant keep the panfish off them. These panfish enhancement programs are terrible for the guy who likes to bass fish. It causes an over abundance of panfish. When I pull up on a 20ft deep road bed and my graph looks has a speck for every pixel theres no grub gonna be going in the water.
  17. I have a crankbait easily as big as a 10 if not bigger that looks like a shad I should sell one of you guys. Looks very similar to this if not this exact lure.
  18. the 170 is a very bare bones setup
  19. Im going to be buying a second within the next month. It is one sweet reel for $100. I love my daiwas. I looked yesterday and I own 7 daiwas currently and I have only ever had one failure.
  20. Dudley is really terrible this year. I think I am going to have to stop picking him. I do have Ehrler to win it.
  21. I missed the weigh in.... arg...
  22. Change the dive angle on a crankbait by heating the lip and bending it. Thats nothing new though or ground breaking. I feather trebles with all types of materials, guess its not just feather then. I have a black paint pen that I add shad spots on baits that dont have them. I tie large flies to use in my rigs as well not just plastics. I can make things like sculpins out of deer hair that will suspend on their own.
  23. You can get "rabbit fur"... aka zonker strips at fly tying suppliers
