  1. Fished the Potomac on Saturday, no Shad caught, but I did see a couple jumping. This rain should bring em up
  2. Saw his show the first time last weekend. I had to change the channel because I wanted to hang myself
  3. Good question jerk bait junkie!! I been wondering the same thing. Have always been a spinning guy, but got a bait-caster last fall and been practicing in my driveway. Now I have an idea of how much practice I need, which is a LOT ;D
  4. Welcome aboard JonnyBoy! Always nice to have another Virginian in the forum
  5. Thanks Glenn, I am always learning something new from your site
  6. Agree Spro Bronzeye frog
  7. I use a lip-less crank bait such as a rattle trap style lure, something with a narrow profile, but large vertical body, in medium to heavy river current as it gets down deep quick. On the other hand if the river is shallow a floating lipped crank bait seems to stay just under the top of the water right where I like. Never tried the lip less cranks in a lake...
  8. Been looking for a video on this technique online, but cant find one... A couple other sites said they prefer a shorter length rod as it makes the lure placement more accurate when doing a roll cast. Is this true?
  9. I'm REALLY good at telling stupid jokes... such as What do you call a deer with only one eye? Give up? I have no eye deer Get it?
  10. Thats really thinking outside the box Catt, good idea

  21. Tackle Warehouse says there would be shipping charges at our cost... I will wait for the reviews on Tackletour.com
  22. That is a great fish J Francho!! I found if your fishing a stocked lake, best to take a can of corn with you and toss out a handful every few minutes in the same location. The stocked trout are use to the sound of feed hitting the water from being raised in the hatchery, and will come to your corn and feed. Then use corn on your hook and you will limit out in no time. For river, I guess flyfishing, but always best to match the hatch and talk with the local fly shops to see what they suggest.
  23. I use braid on every reel except for my BC and have tried many types, but prefer to use Suffix as it seems to cast better for me. Only time I use a leader is early Spring rigged Carolina style, when I want to pull a craw pattern on the bottom and have the weight tapping against the plastic bead when it hits structure.
  24. Was watching City Limits and must have missed that part. Was wanting to hear them mention bassresource.com... but never heard a word >
  25. Grasses should be in this year around the WW bridge, since the bridge construction is complete. No more working boats turning up the bottom in that area.
