yeah i was fishing trauger lake in gbg when we had that nice day! after the cold front yesterday though i have no clue whats going to happen. but crankbaits i had a manns 4- in blue and chartuese and a red cotton cordell super spot it was great i was only there two hours

join a local club then move up from there. Local clubs for the most part are made up of friendly people very willing to share information with you. I'm so glad i did that myself

all the lakes here just got unfrozen! went out yesterday and caught 32!!!! It was freakin amazing!!! I'm pumped for this year already! Went out today not so good, cold front blew in last night and i went to a different lake and caught one and missed a few. oh well i taught my friend how to fish a jerkbait and he caught one on that. 2 fish total for a day with a cold front on a clear cold lake? I'll take it

I'll take 3 - 1.75 pounders over 1 - 5 pounder any day of the week. 3 x 1.75 = 5.25 lbs 1 x 5.00 = 5 lbs 5.25 > 5.00 I agree wholeheartedly. 1) I fish in an area where there aren't many big fish to be found so the first thing I do is to look for a limit, or atleast try my best to catch a limit. 2) When I do fish a tournament where I know there are bigger fish it depends on what size of fish I'm catching during the day. ex. If I'm catching anywhere from 12 inchers to 3 lbers I'm gona keep doing what I'm doing trying to get more 3 lbers. On the other hand if all I'm catching are 12 inchers I might move up to a bigger bait or go to a different area all together. So my answer is really based on what my limit is made up of.

Ehh the boy is still 15, I'm sure everyone (well maybe not everyone, there are exceptions to every rule) on this website knew they were the best at everything when they were 15 too. I know I was at that age, now I know there are always people that are better at everything than me. I know I still got some growing up to do myself, I'm trying to fight it as hard as I can though. I don't wanna grow up!

Right on! To add on the other subject, I just can't figure out why people who want sponsors come to this site and well, their post reads.... " i wud like to get sponsered and dont care what i hav 2 do as long as i can say i hav a sponser were shud i start" I have said it before and will say it again. Who the ____ is going to want anything to do with a __________________? :-X : :-? Lol i did that. I came to the sight and saw the post resumes thing and the first thing i thought was "hey maybe thats where sponsers go to look for guys to sponser." so i went and i made my resume up and i posted it in the forum. sure enough the next day Bass XL tells me its a great resume but thats not what this particular forum is for. All i can think now is how dumb i was for thinking that lol. Ehh no harm no foul though

i would have to say that its mostly water temperature that determines at what depth fish spawn

you not alone my first jig fish was january of this year. but i've gotten better since then. i like tubes more tho

lol. the right bottom has alot to do with it too. but a bass can spawn where it wants to really. Sunlight should have nothing to do with it, it's all about water temperature when the bass start to spawn. bass can spawn anywhere from 1 to 10 ft being the average depth. if you think about it you only see a certain percentage of all the bass that are spawning. in other words, if you see one bed there are probably 3-5 more you don't see. maybe in your home lake that percentage is even lower

the 68 is 3 1/2 inches the 78 is 4 1/2 and i think the 100 is 5 1/2. i'm not sure lol. those are the lucky crafts btw. my personal fav is the 68, but i'm biased that size mimicks the baitfish in my waters

here a dink is 12 inches. we catch alot of em lol. look at the footage from the bassmasters classic on the pittsburgh rivers, it was bad

I'm pretty good on raystown lake. I'm best in august, i tend to catch lots of keepers. well more than average anglers lol. i wouldnt mind hitting up the feeder creek tho, we'll have to plan it out in the summer

My major is fisheries and wildlife biology in college... i can def. say northern strain largemouth live 2 or 3 times longer than florida strain largemouth

for pond fishing i'll take a smithwick over an xrap anyday. they suspend at a foot or two and are spectacular baits. but in that situation i'd throw a rattletrap or a spinnerbait lol. with the rattle trap you can nick the tops of the weeds and basically do the same thing with the spinnerbait too

Lucky crafts are the best baits on the market, period. Literally if you know how to throw a jerkbait these baits will catch atleast twice as many fish as any other jerkbait on the market
