  1. Better get some ice fishing gear, otherwise it will be a long winter.
  2. That is not at all a bad catch rate for just starting out. Just pay attention what you are doing and keep doing it. The more you learn the more you will catch.
  3. I have a Rojo and of course was leary about the flipping switch performance. I bought it NIB on Ebay for $42.00 so I decided to give it a try. When received it lacked lubrication so I lubed it and gave it a try. So far on two outings it performed well.
  4. I'm here South Suburb of Chicago. I actually wondered the same.
  5. Ah to be young again!!!!!!!!! Do not lose these friends, the memories will keep you young at heart. Thanks for sharing.
  6. Wow this wore me out and I have to get back to work but here you go. Did not finish but maybe I will recieve a passing grade. 1) 5562 2) 9173 3) 35283 4) My head hurts
  7. LMB- 6lb 13oz Yum T-Tig Lizard SMB- 4lb 3oz Wiggle Wart
  8. I would stick with a Palomar. I never had any luck with Trilene holding, it slips.
  9. Wow that's amazing. I always worry about sunscreen and only use spray on type and try never to spray in the boat. Go figure
  10. They work great on LMB also. I rig them with a Booyah Football weedless jig head. And had great success.
  11. You do mean a thermometer, a barometer measure atmospheric pressure I believe. Both may do some good though.
  12. I have no experience with Powell but Cricials and Avids in my book at both good rods. The one thing I noticed is the Power on the Avids are more true to what you would expect. It really is noticeable with treble hooks. If you plan on doing a lot of cranking I would learn towards the Avid for that IMHO. Hope this helps and good luck at the tournaments and especially in school.
  13. Your right it must be a conspiracy
  14. WOW Confused is putting it mildly, I feel as if by brain has been seized by aliens. What's up with this. :-X

Was she blonde? I think I wet myself.
  16. How does this thing float?
  17. If you are looking for a high speed spinning reel Plueger does make them. Not sure about Diawa. http://www.pfluegerfishing.com/products/products.php?p=11.
  18. I believe the 6 to 1 gear ratio might have been referred to a baitcaster. Very few spinning reels have that high of a ratio. The 2500 is a spinning reel right?
  19. 2XD ROFLCOPTER Saavedra, to my aid! ;D OOOHHHHHHH YEEEAAAAHHHHHHHHH! i am lollerskating away from loligators making my way to the lollercoaster which takes me to the roflcopter!!!! that is ultimate 2XD right there. bends little debbie over! roflcopter! What the? I just do not understand you young folks anymore and I just am not that old damnit. Will someone help me out here?
  20. Shallow water cranking will produce. Try a Manns Minus 1 or a Footloose. One of my all time favorites is a Storm Sub Wart. Get risky and bang off laydowns, have fun.
  21. I would fish the drop offs with a T-Rigged Tube bait. If not windy I would use a 3/16-1/4 weight. Also might try a Wacky Rigged 4 inch Senko around the sparse weeds. Would only go after the Smallies.
  22. Unless you caught it with your bare hands you still had to use a hook didn 't you ? and that hook was manufactured by someone, same applies to the string Now that's marketing I like it!!!!!
  23. Welcome Home and thank you for your service.
  24. I have both an Avid and Techna AV. Both are good rods but IMO the Avid is a bit more sensitive.
