If we have any members who are wondering what a thread "hijack" is.......you just witnessed the most blatant thread hijack of all time.....so let's stick to the topic in the future. ;D

But like I said, the main purpose for the observer is to babysit the pro. (Make sure he doesn't get off the boat to land a fish, or snag fish, help him back in the boat if he should fall out, you know, babysitting type stuff) You don't go to a pro football game to babysit the players.....the NFL pays referees to babysit the players while on the field, and they pay them well I might add.

The main purpose in having an observer in the first place is to keep the pro "honest". Another reason is safety. The way I see it, if they want someone to ride along and babysit a pro during the tournament, they should either pay the observers or at least let them ride free. (But we all know that's not going to happen, they couldn't make any money doing it that way)

After much thought about which side of the fence I wanted to be on, I think Brett Favre gives the Packers a better shot to win than Rodgers does and that is why they play.....right? Start Favre!

Very bad decisions on the part of Rampage. Depending on his prior record, he could just get probation if he's been fairly clean in the past. If not, he may get a few months. Either way, I doubt he'll get messed with too much in jail. ;D

Yep, Smith Mtn is on for 2009 and 2010....the late April 09 should be a good one, it will be hot as a firecracker for the August 2010, plus the overabundance of lake traffic on Smith will make that one tough.

Wow, that would be a major deal right there. What makes you think that? I would think a move like that would cause some loss of interest in BASS, possibly some hard feelings and money loss.

My son has a friend staying over here with him this weekend and they've been playing GH since they got home from the skating rink Friday night. I've had to turn the game off several times to get them to go outside and play for a while. I saw Devin's buddy had a streak of 824 in a row. Not sure if thats high or not but I was pretty impressed with it. And if they come out with a Guitar Hero Metallica, I'm buying one for myself.

Excellent post Russ and filled with good info. I've been throwing the smaller soft swims a lot more lately but haven't done much at all with the bigger swims. Looks like I might have to get one or two just to see what happens. I doubt I'll be able to throw it for too long without any action.....I am a tournament fisherman you know.

As a Favre fan, I'm on the fence about this. On one hand I think he has been the man in GB for so long and can still play and be productive so if he wants to come back, bring it on. On the other hand, I think he should make a solid decision and stick to it. He's been back and forth the past couple years and its put a strain on the GB management with draft picks, Aaron Rodgers, the fans and everything else. If they do give him a release to play somewhere else, I bet that release will be loaded with conditions that won't let him QB for anyone in the NFC Central and possibly not any team that may be a threat to win the SB. If he doesn't agree to the terms of release (if release is offered), he might be holding a clipboard and calling plays in to Rodgers.

It really depends on the time of year. In the late winter into early spring you can bet the ranch that your bigger fish will be relating 100% to the shad. Thats how they eat all winter, they follow the shad around. Once spring hits, the craws come out and the bass move shallower to begin the spawning process. This is a good time to find them on main lake points, feeding on craws, waiting for the water to warm up. Then they move onto the spawning flats and after the spawn, they do a 180 and head back the other way Once summer hits, you're better off to find some stuff offshore in deeper water. Sure you can catch 2 pounders all day long on docks and generally in a shallow mode but to get to the bigger fish, I'm a firm believer that you must fish deeper water. Break the ties with fishing the banks, get out deep and find stuff to fish. Fishing deep water intimidates a lot of people because its unfamiliar territory but you have to at least make an effort to learn deep water. Once fall rolls around, its back to the shad. Find the shad and the bass should be somewhere close by. They know winter is coming and they feed heavily on shad in the fall and all thru the winter.

Pride and WEC are both owned by the UFC. Pride probably did have the best fighters at one time because their tournaments were so much different that they drew the best fighters from every country. The UFC is where the money is at now. If you're looking to just sit back and see some great MMA fighting, I think the WEC's got 'em all beat. And someone mentioned Wanderlei Silva being the best 205.....he was at one time (in his Pride days).....but he's not done much lately except ram his face and head into Chuck Liddell's right hand. I'd like to see WS get back to his old ways...he was unbeatable.

If it really didn't matter where you start a thread, there would only be one forum. Us moving threads to the correct forum is for YOUR benefit. A thread in the correct forum gets maximum exposure, which in turn gets your questions answered better.

So when can you come up and install it? Well, if someone could take me out... I can talk you through it. Nothing at all to the install, especially if you only have one drive. Take you out? You talkin' Burger King or something? And I have 2 drives but only one is bad. Piece of crap.

Yeah, Lytle lost a lot of blood in his fight. If you saw them wiping the cut between rounds, it looked like he'd been shot right above his eye. There are some pics of the fights on MSN Sports/MMA and they show a great pic of the mat where Kos was taking it to Lytle. Massive amount of blood on the mat. That guy was wearing him out in the first round and came real close to ripping his arm off. Melvin Guillard straight up took his guy out in what, 30 seconds? That guy had NO chance.....and when he got knocked down the first time, he should've stayed down cause the second time he got dropped was way worse than the first. What's everybody's opinion about Silva moving up to 205? Can he hang? Will he get worked over by the bigger guys? Can he win the 205 belt? Either way, I'm glad he's making the jump.

Well, well, well.....the drive does not work anymore. It doesnt recognize the discs being inserted because it does not work! WOW! Thanks for all the replies fellas....anybody use an external drive?

I tried the CD-R's first and when it prompted me to insert the CD, when I did it, it just kept telling me to Insert a CD......like I had done nothing.
