Good, big, deep-diving crawdad pattern crank ???
Mann's 20+ will hit your depths although the color patterns aren't real pretty. The LC CBD20 is another good bait that will give you a little tighter wiggle than a DD22 which I recommend but it may come up a little short of 25'. If you can find any Rapala DT-20's, I'd definitely try that one in the brown craw pattern. That pattern is one of the best craw paint schemes you can find.

Structure fishing??
If you just want to fish structure you dont have to sink anything. The structure is already there. If you want to add cover on some structure I would suggest buckets of concrete with hard wood limbs (with most of the littler twigs removed) sticking out of it. Hard woods will last the longest.

Dock Fishing Lures And Tips?
Anytime the fish seem suspended under the docks, I dont think you can beat an *** trick stick. Sometimes the fish will hang right up under the dock near the surface, other times they'll be halfway down suspended. Either way, the trick stick falls just fast enough for them to get a look at it but have to make a decision real fast. Soft stick baits are money around docks. Another bait that has entered the dock fishing scene is the Jackall Cover Craw. This bait will float away from you once it hits the water. Cast to the edge of a dock and give it a little line and it will glide right under the dock. Sometimes in very bright sunny conditions, the fish won't come into the sun to eat but if something gets up under the dock, they'll hammer it. I see this a lot. My home lake has about a million docks and if you cant get your bait in the shade of the dock, you dont get bit. All docks are not created equal. In my opinion, for summer fishing, the best docks have wooden posts and also have at least 17' of water on the end. In the summertime I catch a lot more fish from docks that have a steeper slope under them or any docks that may have sunken brush under or around them. The fish can find shade under these docks and they also find cooler water under a dock that has deeper water. Sometimes you need to throw a 'bottom' bait to get 'em. Just be sure that if you are fishing a deep dock like I described above that you throw shallow as far as you can get it and allow enough line to your bait so that it stays on the bottom during your retrieve from shallow to deep. As far as knowing what to start with....I say the trick stick is the most dependable for gauging what the fish are doing. If you cast and get bit pretty quick, the fish are most likely up tight to the dock. If it sinks for 5 or 6 seconds, they're a little deeper. If it hits the bottom before you get a bite, well, they could be all on the bottom. In that case, I'd throw a bottom bait like a jig or a big worm. Docks are very easy to pattern once you catch a couple a certain way. You should be able to do the same thing on similar docks all day long.

Is fishing relaxing (semantics debate)?
Bass fishing is not at all relaxing for me. No matter if I get 3 hours to fish or 10 hours, I'm trying my hardest to get 5 good bites and get them in the boat. When I can get on some fish pretty quick, the trip becomes more relaxing but it never gets to the point of being an all out relax-fest. When in a tournament, once I have a limit I feel a calmness come over me for a few minutes. Then it quickly goes away and it's time to upgrade my catch because the clock is ticking.

Need help finding an old ZOOM color
They may not make it anymore. 5 or 6 years ago it was a special run color. I figure there must be some bags hanging around somewhere. The best way to describe the color is that it's just a little lighter than the Lakers purple uniforms and has no flake.

ELITE'S on Mississippi River.....tough fishing
I agree Burley but it's nice to see them have to scramble to put together even a light bag. They've been hitting all the lakes on the schedule at the right time and just hammering fish previous to this one. This one's a true reality check and a rookie is winning it.

Need help finding an old ZOOM color
Cool, thanks Marc They did a long time ago. I suspect there's some tackle shops somewhere that still get them to make baits in that color in a special run....just have to find 'em.

Man, this thread took several wrong turns. We're talking about hockey fans here, not every person that lives or has lived in the state of Michigan. Come on, let's get it together....geeez, you guys are killin' me.

Need help finding an old ZOOM color
With the talk of all the great mom n pops tackle shops still around, I'd like to see if any of you guys can take a look next time you go into one of those shops for anything ZOOM in the color Violet. Violet used to be the color to have around here and they stopped making it in mass production...it's a limited run color now and I haven't seen anything in that color in a LONG time. I'd really like to find a few bags of worms or brush hogs or anything in Violet to see if the fish still like it these days. Just keep it in mind the next time your cruising down the plastics isle and let me know if you come across anything. I'd appreciate it.

ELITE'S on Mississippi River.....tough fishing
Well, for those of you who think the Pro's catch 'em all the time, everywhere they go, look at the standings and weights, day by day on this tournament. Very low amount of limits and KVD blanked today.

1992 Merc 200 EFI wont fire up. Several questions
As you know, you'll get more $ if it runs. I'd take the old gas out, put in some mid grade and a shot of Sea Foam and see what happens. You can also change the fuel filter for a few bucks....that may help. I'm guessing its the old gas. If it's not, you'll have to find yourself a spark board to hook on it and go from there. If you've got good gas and assuming the fuel pump is good, it's almost gotta be a spark thing.

Exactly what I was thinking. But if you already know this and are 100% sure it will hold up, I wouldn't bother with practicing.

Need trolling motor help!!
Prop spins freely. No noises at all. No smoke, no burned smell. I had the motor at an angle when I was working on it in a way that if it had been holding water, it would have run out. I wasn't actually checking it like you suggested though.
