  1. Power Baits are designed to give you a couple extra seconds to feel the bite and set the hook. I use the Shaky Worms, Power Worms and Chigger Craws all the time. Like on a jig, a bass can suck in and spit out a jig in less than a second.....most times when I've got a Chigger Craw trailer on the jig, they dont/wont spit it. Heck, I put ZOOM worms and all kinds of other unscented baits in the bags with my Power Bait stuff all the time. I'm not sure if it helps but I know it doesn't hurt.

    Yes, FLW Tour.
  3. :-? Hmmmmm......interesting. ....and bigtimfish, your previous thread got sent into cyberspace by accident, never to be seen again. WOOPS! We apologize.
  4. I've been wondering about ***'s tungsten venture lately. I'm just about out so.....

  7. In really clear water I mainly stick with the basic shad or natural craw patterns and that usually works out pretty good, but if they aren't cooperating, I wont hesitate to throw something chartreuse or some of the wall color. I always start with a basic shad pattern though, no matter what, then get progressively 'louder' with my color choices.
  8. Allen, send them to me. They obviously need to be checked for defects.
  9. A jerk retrieve presents a problem with the Sebile's (at least in my experiences with it). The tail tends to swing around in front of the head and gets caught in the line very easily. I do a lot better with it when I just reel it and slow it down every now and then. Its been a great bait at night when the bass are busting shad up shallow.
  10. I'm a big Berkley 100% guy no doubt about it but I think the Sunline Super Sniper FC is much more limp and easier to manage than the Berkley on a spinning reel. I wont put Berkley 100% on a spinning reel anymore, its Sunline everytime now. Whatever fluorocarbon you choose, I suggest a good dose of KVD Line & Lure conditioner.
  11. I feel sorry for the bass in the Satilla River....they're going to get hammered in the next few days and weeks. The first pic that cart7 posted doesnt look like an 18 pounder....huge head, slender body. I think Otis has that one beat.
  12. Knuckle Down Lures makes some great spinnerbaits. I have been using them exclusively for the past 3 months and they are very well built. Check out some of the colors he's got in stock.
  13. I havent seen any in the tackle shops around here. I got mine from ExtremeLures.com, a site sponsor.
  14. Yeah, seeing him get worked up over that first big one that got away, I was real surprised he didn't get up and choke slam the camera man after that one. Ike's passion and drive to win gets away from him at times but thats what I like about him.
  15. Don't get too bummed out about a goose egg, especially in your first tournament and fishing co-angler. Skunks happen from time to time to everybody. Shake it off. From the description of your boater and his equipment, that's all you could do. I suspect things would have been different if you'd been the boater.

  21. I put the Charlie through the paces a couple of weeks ago and it did really well. Pretty good swimbait in my opinion and comes in several different sizes.
  22. Daiichi Death Traps. Best treble hook money can buy in my opinion. I used 4's and 6's to see which one was more effective and which had the most positive effect on the action. Once I figure that out, I'll change all the others. I suspect 4's are going to win.
  23. I'm too tired to type a real answer so in the meantime, I'll just say....throw a buzzbait at dusk and see what happens.
