  1. I have the 'bike' seats on my boat. The ones I have can be tilted also. I mainly use mine to lean against during a long day on the water. Very nice to have but certainly not necessary.
  2. A 'butt' seat? Aren't ALL seats.....butt seats? ;D
  3. Ehrler needs to get in the Elite series then. He knows how to get to the Classic and FLW isn't the way. The Classic is important because making one signifies that you've had a good year. It's only a 3 day tournament, you only fish against half the field (some of which are amateurs), it pays big money and if you win it, you're a winner of the most prestigious award in bass fishing other than AOY. I'd say that making the Classic is the most common goal among the Elite anglers.

  5. Well, we dont condone or even bother to discuss bass fishing if it involves breaking the law so this thread is closed.
  6. It's a big decision, especially if you dont have a 'brand' already in mind that you like and would want to buy. Making a list of 'must haves' and a list of 'would be nices' is where I would start. As someone else mentioned, you have to consider what your basic needs are and what kind of waters you'll be fishing. And whatever you do, if you buy a used boat, have the motor checked by a certified tech like JGrouch said.
  7. I'm sure we've all experience a bass hitting a lure just as it hits the water. Makes me wonder if they ever do the same with golf balls. They probably do if it doesnt hit them first! ;D
  8. Well said and I agree 100%. Thanks to all military personnel, past, present and future.

  10. The biggest bass I ever caught came from a golf course pond. My buddy had permission for us to go in there. Great place to set some hooks, the bass were always willing to bite and the big ones weren't shy either.

Kerr is tough at times. Sounds like you did ok though. Thanks for the report, I'm going down there next week.
  12. Thats a good'un! Gaston rocks!
  13. I saw that show too. He caught several different species of bass and one that he wasn't quite sure whether it was a largemouth or a spot or some kind of hybrid but it looked really cool. Had some off the wall markings, I've never seen any bass like it. I'm only 2 states away from SC and Jocasse is now on my radar. I'd like to get down there this fall. Come on over FC, we'll go chuck some swimbaits.
  14. Right on! Let's hear the details!

  16. The 'all' function was causing problems with the website so Glenn removed it. As far as accessing other forums, I'm not sure I see what you're talking about. I can still hit other forums from whatever screen I'm on.
  17. Thats a good'un Wayne! Nice work!
  18. Rico Senko Jig Deep Crank In that order as the day progresses.
  19. Deep crank. Reeling down, bumping that brushpile, then SLAM!!!....rod bows, fight's on! Net! Net! Net!
  20. Atta boy Mike! Although I'm not sure one dink is enough to take the crown away from Burley....he's a couple hundred dinks ahead of you. ;D
  21. What he said. I have 4 of them. Been using them since they first came out and have had no issues with any of them. Drag is buttery smooth and the weight of the reel is a nice change from other spinning reels.

  25. Holy Crap! 10 fish for 8# ?? What does Aruku mean in Japanese? Dink? ;D Sounds about like the Xcalibur One Knocker I've been throwing this year. I've caught more fish on that bait in 4 months than I'll probably catch the rest of the year. Ask Burley, he'll tell you.
