  1. They really do...Some of the ones in the tackle shops here around Cave Run are monsters. I think I would scream like a little girl if I ever hooked into one.
  2. I guess not. Maybe they make their money elsewhere. It works out good for me.
  3. I don't have a particular preference will reels so much. I will give anything I can afford a shot. After a certain price point (which I will call around 150ish), I don't think you can go wrong with the majority of the offerings out there.
  4. That place has some deals to be had for sure. I see all kinds of reels go for at least 70-80 dollars off continually. Makes me wonder how they do it.
  5. Sorry to hear that. I have lost a few soft plastics to Muskies but I have never lost anything expensive. How awesome would that have been if you landed it???
  6. Here is my addition. Be JEALOUS!!! 8-)
  7. I think its a neat idea too. A lot of the regulars have a ton of experience with all types of tackle.
  8. Wow that is a beautiful Jeep. If I could fit in one I would consider buying one too. I am too long though. Nice vehicle.
  9. What I really love about the Jitterbug is that it lets you know when you are working it right. When you get it going at that slow pace and it starts making that midrangish blub blub blub sound, you know its just a matter of time before it gets annihilated.
  10. They are not for me but I am sure they catch fish. I highly recommend some of their other lures though. Lucky Craft has some really nice baits.
  11. If you want you could order it from here and get FREE shipping: http://www.***.com/descpageRDCSHIMANO-SHCLCR.html This site is widely used by folks here on Bass Resource and the folks at Tackle Warehouse do a great job!!!
  12. I am right there with ya.
  13. I don't know how much faith I would put in the reviewer on the BPS website. They are usually one useful for comedic relief most days. This is a much better place for information. If they are built half as well as their older round reels then it should be a good reel. I have a Flooger Patriarch with the same dual breaking as the new PQ's and it is an awesome system. Aside from the Johnny Morris series, this is the best looking reel BPS has came out with. Although I have not used it, I feel pretty confident in saying that I don't think you would be disappointed in purchasing this reel.
  14. I am guessing that your price range is somewhere between 30 and 50 dollars? Its often hard to get a quality reel that will last a decent amount of time for that price. I doubt many here have used these as well. That is not saying that they are certain to be junk but I believe in some cases you get what you pay for. What I would suggest doing is perhaps waiting and saving up a little more money. The reason for this is that the BPS Extreme is the next reel "up" from the two you listed and I know its a good one. Its on sale right now for 80 bucks and I feel that it would be your best bet. I as well as a lot of people on this site have used them and it has been highly recommended numerous times. Good luck on your purchase.
  15. The newest models of Extreme reels are extremely low profile. As mentioned before, they seem to be modeled a whole lot like the Revo's.
  16. I have been checking out Cedar Creek a lot myself. I stopped by the tackle shop down there and talked to one of the guys that worked there. He gave me a lake map and pointed out a few spots where he has the best luck during the different phases of the year. One of my friends just moved close to the lake so I got pretty good access to it whenever I want. I went down there about a month ago and was amazed at how good that lake looked. There are some pictures of some monsters hanging in that tackle shop.
  17. I would really like to set into a big Muskie. I have wanted to catch one for a long while now and have hooked a couple while bass fishing. Any fish that will attack a lure that is in the backwash of your boat has got to be a fun fish to catch.

LOL...now there is some built in scent for ya!
  19. I got my two bottles in today and I cannot wait to use this stuff.
  20. As screwed up as it all was, I miss Pride quite a bit.
  21. Me and you both. Going to BPS is always a pretty neat experience but the luster sort of wears off after the first trip. I just wish I had known about Tackle Warehouse about two years ago. Bass Pro has charged me enough in EXTRA shipping costs that I could have bought a couple pretty decent rods. I also kind of wish the people in the stores would be cooler about the internet sales. It took me 30 minutes at the BPS in Cincy to purchase a Crankin' Stick. Then the cashier didn't ring it up as a sale and I had to wait another 15 minutes for them to check again to see if the item was really on sale. I hardly ever complain about service but I was a little frustrated that day.
  22. That's awesome. If I ever get to opportunity to fish you you again I would not mind checking that out. I have been wanting to get my hands on a Zillion of any kind for a while now.
  23. I haven't used the new one but the last years model is actually a solid little reel. If you decide to get it, good luck and make sure you tell us what you think about it.
  24. Wow Ricky, that one exploded....keep it and show the fish something different. ;D
  25. I use an old blue Pro Qualifier round reel. Its a 6.1:1 ratio reel and it serves me pretty well.
