  1. If they are the actual Pro Qualifier Rods then you got a really good deal. A lot of people do sell Pro Qualifier LTD products which are generally Bass Pro in-house rods and reels. They are not as good as the actual Pro Qualifier line (and are a bit cheaper) but they are probably still decent.
  2. The ones my way carry them. Its weird how inconsistent that store is.
  3. That is a good deal. Thanks for sharing.
  4. I love MMA but it is hard for me to get into it as much as I would like to because I have no satellite or digital cable which means I have no pay-per-view or VS. I do keep up with the UFC though...thats easy. Man, Kimbo got demolished. I sure wish they would quit feeding him these below average fighters. Not taking anything away from Seth but Shamrock...c'mon!!! I am glad he got exposed because a lot of people were talking about how great he is. He has heavy hands but as you can see with Chuck, those don't cut it anymore.
  5. For me, I don't think a spinning reel will ever be replaced by baitcasting gear. They are so user friendly and when the fishing dictates using small baits, they just far exceed baitcasters. I have buddies that prefer baitcasting only and I also have friends that use straight spinning gear. Fishing is so preference oriented anyway, it just all depends on what you feel comfortable with.
  6. I have caught 4 pounders in both species in a relatively close time frame. They both fought much different. The LMB sort of rolled lazily on the top for a spill and then started diving hard at the boat. After a couple of good runs he gave up pretty easily. The SMB was a different experience all together. The fish inhaled the grub in ten foot of water. Not even two seconds after I set the hook it had swam straight up and was actually about three feet out of the water. When it wasn't in the air it was diving and running everywhere. Such a fun fish.
  7. I guess it could have been worse. Foot injuries suck.
  8. Well said. Twenty doesn't much move my needle. My truck has two gas tanks...I just smile to myself when I look at the rear tank. Maybe I will clean it out and maybe convert it to a Kool-Aid reservoir...run a straw to the cab.
  9. Nice smiley by the way.
  10. Thats some kind of ouch. What happened?
  11. (They aren't that much on our friendly popular auction site).
  12. I have been looking at these non stop since the first time I ever saw them which was probably about 9 or 10 months ago. In my opinion, they are just about as pretty a reel as I have ever seen. I am for sure picking one of these up pretty soon.
  13. Hey man, Beautiful fish. Nice job.
  14. You had the same experience as me. Maybe Vanish is just better in Kentucky...lol.
  15. I don't know about the Midas but the Citori's are freakin bulky. They don't weigh that much but they are pretty big. They sit pretty high on a rod. I have two and they are a quality reel but after holding my Revo's they feels pretty awkward.
  16. I think the thin bills are what makes the DT series so great. The thin bill allows them to get down to their maximum depth very fast and stay there pretty much until they are right under the boat.
  17. I play guitar quite often. Other than that, I fish and play the occasional video game.
  18. Well, I have had way different experiences with Vanish. I am not saying these guys are wrong, but you may want to try it and see how you like it. I have horsed quite a few good fish out of laydowns and such with this stuff and it never broke on me. Its also all my friend uses and he sees no reason to change. I have heard and read so many complaints about this stuff so I am sure I am in the minority but it really never gave me any problems.
  19. The technique really does work. Rooster nailed the explanation. I have gotten back lots of baits by doing this.
  20. It took me a while to get used to mine. Technically I guess I never really did so I finally gave up and turned the magnetic brake 3/4 to all the way on. I still got my spool brake set to where the lure can free fall through the water and the reel still slings baits forever so I don't see the problem having that much brake on. I am sure I could gain a couple of extra yards but they are not my designated cranking reels so I do not really need to sling my baits ten miles anyway.
  21. Makes sense...the lower price probably gets a lot more people to pull the trigger. Ebay used to be terrible for people charging terrible shipping rates. I am sure some people got royally screwed like that. I am still wondering how tackle warehouse is making any money off of their rods. With free shipping I don't see how they do it.
  22. It does NOT cost 15.00 to ship an 8 oz. item.
  23. Thats what I was thinking. That sure is a fast knot though.
  24. Man, thanks a lot for that. Looks like an awesome product.
  25. I got the same advertisement the other day. I just threw it away. Seemed a little too good of a deal to me.
