  1. I don't know why but Round reels do seem much easier to cast. I have a Bass Pro Shops Pro Qualifier Round reel that I use to crank with. I can throw anything without having to touch the brakes on it at all. I have yet to find a low profile that I can do this with.
  2. My favorite spinnerbait is the Terminator T-1. A pretty close second is the Strike King Premier. Not as indestructible as the Terminators but a quality spinnerbait nonetheless.
  3. I use facebook very rarely and I am on myspace a couple of times a week. I am 24 and in college so these are awesome ways to keep in touch with all those old buddies I would have otherwise forgot ago. This is the address to my myspace: www.myspace.com/superawesometommy The is the address to the band I started a month ago: www.myspace.com/thehylineband
  4. I haven't tried it yet so I will wait what everyone else says. I am a big fan of gmail and I usually use Google to search for crap. Right now I am using Mozilla. I absolutely love it so it will be hard for me to give it up.
  5. I read that too....pretty funny...Each day, it seems I like Bass Pro less and less.
  6. I read here a while back that someone else broke a light and tough...I think maybe it was theBeast. They look like nice enough rods though. Sorry to hear that you broke it.
  7. I don't watch too much television but when I do its usually on the discovery channel or the history channel. I find documentaries and the Mythbusters pretty entertaining.
  8. lol...hey, if I could afford it, I would be right there with you.
  9. Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (Pulse 1994)
  10. wow....you went all out, huh? I sure hope you like em.
  11. I haven't fished it much but I know it works...its one of my friends favorite colors and I have seen him catch a few using it. I like the way most fire tiger baits look I just like throwing other colors first.
  12. Hey, good thinkin'. It is a big ol' neighborhood that I live in after all.
  13. I would say the same people that have issues with hooks tearing out are the same ones whose hooksets look like they are swinging at a baseball and who horse their fish relentlessly. I personally have a pretty hard hookset in general, but I tone it down with a smooth, sideways sweep when fishing cranks. Also, learning how to use drag/play a fish goes a long way. If you got the fish out of cover, let it tire itself out. Your rod is also there for leverage so let it load up when those fish are making them hard runs. There is no need to try to immediately put it in the boat, anyway. I have lost a couple really good fish because I got too excited and tried to pull them right to me. By the way, I use a graphite rod for all of my cranking and the only time I ever feel like I need something else is when chucking those deep divers. They will wear you out quick if you do not have the right tackle.
  14. Man, that really is awesome. I wish I had access to water like that around here. Such a perfect looking bass factory!!!
  15. I was going to say 3.5 to 4 too. Very nice fish. Good job!!!
  16. That is terrible. Sorry to hear that. Its something I never even think about while bank fishing but its definitely always possible.
  17. Yea, I am seriously considering getting one myself. Christmas isn't that far off and I usually get something fishing oriented anyway. The over-the-counter lifetime warranty is a big plus because I am a bit of a klutz as well. I really like that you can add a touch of weight in the handle to achieve the balance YOU desire. Bass Pro rods offer this but you have to add more bulk to an already heavy rod and it also dramatically changes the look of your stick. Now all I got to do is figure out what size I want...
  18. Beautiful boat!!! Congratulations!
  19. I have had the best luck with the Terminators. They are really nice Spinnerbaits. And they seem indestructible. They are a bit pricey but they are worth it.
  20. I can only comment on Stren Super braid. I really enjoy this line. I got 20 pound on my spinning outfit and I love the way it handles. Seems to be decent but like I said, its the only braid I have ever used.
  21. Thats a good point. The price is pretty up there. It would be nice to use someone else's before purchasing. I just think they look so friggin awesome. I keep thinking about that rod with a Revo Premier on top of it. Would be pretty nice.
  22. http://www.***.com/descpageE21CAST-E21GCC.html I am not sure if this has been covered here or not. I have seen them mentioned briefly but that is about it. These rods have got me really excited about the carrot stix lineup. I have always found a reason not to like them before but I fell in love with this rod the second I saw it. I just wanted to share with those who haven't seen this rod before. Any idea when they come out? I cannot find them in stock anywhere.
  23. I just emailed him myself. Its probably too late and I already have one of his great buzzbaits anyway but I figured it was worth a shot. These bass resource advertisers are truly one of a kind. Glen, you really do a good job with the sponsors. Thanks!
  24. I don't own one but have used my friends on several occasions. Its actually a really nice rod. I agree with everyone else; you cannot beat them when they are on sale.
  25. ***.com and Cabelas were selling them for 130 each but they are hard to come by now. Ebay has decent deals on them too. not a bad reel for 130. If you can get them from ***, you get free shipping...thats hard to beat.
