  1. Holy crap...what garbage. Who is John Fox? He must really be a mountain of a man to make those 19 and 15 pound bass look that small. WOW!!!
  2. What the heck is up Big Rick? This really is an awesome site. Me thinks you will like it very much.
  3. These are nice looking reels. They sure don't look like the Quantum's of years passed. Man, it sure is a nice time to be a bass fisherman. There has been so many advancements that I have noticed just in the two years I have been fishing seriously. I have always quasi kept up with fishing technology but I don't ever remember being as excited as I am right now. It's just amazing to see each companies offerings as we get closer to 2009. I just hope all of these advancements come at a reasonable price...
  4. I am 23 and I am turning 24 this Friday. I see fishing items in my future!
  5. I know what you mean man. I just got back from Erie and I had a blast. Between those football smallies and those idiot drum your arm gets wore out. I bass fish pretty hard most of the time but I was nowhere near ready for fighting those all week. By the end of the week, my arm was aching pretty bad and we had nowhere near 100 smallie days.
  6. I palm mine. I have fished with those who don't and it doesn't seem to be that awkward looking. I have huge hands so palming just about anything isn't hard for me.
  7. You can get your bait back to the boat much quicker this way if you don't get bit. If you do get bit, you can get the fish out of the nasty stuff quick or you can catch up to those who are running toward you pretty easily.
  8. The color definitely works but it is probably a fad. I was using Rapala's natural shad crankbait for a while before anyone heard of the sexy shad color. Its very close to the same thing and it produces very well.
  9. They really do have a lot of things for sale in store all the time. Those bargain bins are awesome. I also like checking the ends of isles for other cheap goodies. I think I am slowly talking myself into wanting to go to Bass Pro. Stupid expensive gas. I realize that Bass Pro has sells for every occasion but I still think you get the best deals during the Spring Classic. Thats when some of their better items become much cheaper.

It looks a whole lot like a Yo-Zuri to me too but what do I know?
  11. I don't know a whole lot about Cabela's but it seems to be a lot like Bass Pro and they have a huge sell every Spring. I would imagine that Spring is probably the best time to find the biggest sale.
  12. Luckily, I have only skin hooked myself and those close to me a few times. Those pictures look terrible but I would have whipped the camera out and done the same thing.
  13. Thats crazy. I found him to be hilarious!! He will be miss by many.
  14. Thanks, I will look at them too. Price isn't really much of an issue as long as it reasonable (probably 250 - 280 max). I have found the Tour Rods on ebay for 110 shipped so I am leaning toward that route.
  15. Most of it was built into the program so it was mixed that way. It is kinda technoish but after I got finished with it, it grew on me.
  16. This is what I use as well and I really like it. It has a smaller line diameter per pound test than most other lines and its virtually invisible. I use 15# test on most of my reels and there have been times when I have really tested out this line. Tough stuff and its a breeze to cast.
  17. Wow. Nice sounding stuff. Really smooth. This is something that I created a couple of years ago. It's the profile song for my myspace. www.myspace.com/superawesometommy I created this using loops from a program that I bought from Best Buy. With the exception of the main acoustic riff, the guitar parts were all played by me. It is a bit offbeat and odd but it was a nice way to spend an afternoon.
  18. that I would also use for Carolina rigging. The rod I am looking at right now is a Quantum Tour Edition PT 7'4" Heavy X- Fast Flippin' stick. I was able to play with this exact rod earlier this year at a Ranger dealership where Mike Wurm was giving a seminar. His was this exact rod and it felt to be of high quality. I know a bunch of the Elite Series guys use these but they also get theirs for free. What I am most concerned about is the sensitivity. A lot of people say that rods lose a lot of sensitivity as they get thicker. Any suggestions for other rods (I really want the 7' 4" length) or positive or negative experiences with this rod? Thanks a bunch.
  19. Good job man...Way to tear them up. I didn't get to go this weekend but my friend did and absolutely tore them up at Yatesville. Congratulations on an awesome day on Kentucky water!!!
  20. Hey man, nice fish. I just recently got bitten by the smallmouth bug and IT'S AWESOME!!! Congratulations.
  21. Hey, I may just catch them for ya one of these days. Have you been catching any at Yatesville lately?
  22. I forgot all about the largemouth. Thanks Josh
  23. I too am going to try to find one of these soon. Not a whole lot of Quantum fans around here (not surprising really...5 years ago they weren't much) but I got to pleasure to mess around with Mike Wurm's Tour PT rods and reels at a recent seminar and they feel very well made. Also, Mike Wurm seems to be one heck of a guy! I wonder what Quantum is planning for this series?
  24. I bet he could...lol Its truly the easiest fishing I have ever done. Drifting is the way to go up there.
  25. They were schooled up pretty good. There were instances of seeing multiple fish with the one that was hooked. It really is crazy how aggressive these fish are. I had one knock the crap out of my tube 3 different times before I finally hooked up. And another time my friends dad lost a decent smallie at the boat. I dropped an identical bait down before it swam away and it turned and nailed it too.
