  1. Be safe doing whatever it is you're doing....
  2. Laugh if you want. I grab several of the free copies that you can get at tackle stores. One always has a place at the back of my throne ;D which is where my serious reading takes place. New Jersey always highlights or prints in red type changes from the previous regs.

  5. Good luck finding down- the- middle- just-give- me - the -facts - and- I'll - make - up - my - own - mind news anywhere. As fewer and fewer people own more and more of everything, it's only going to get worse. Turn off the TV and get on with your life. Most of it, news included, is watered down crap geared for the lowest common denominator. It's all agenda driven regardless of which side of the fence it's coming from.
  6. When our girls were younger we would arrange to have Santa come by on the fire truck and come in to see them. He would have a small gift for each of them. All it took was a visit to the firehouse with the gifts and our address. It didn't hurt that I usually had a gift for the firemen for when they got done their rounds Homemade raviolis mmmmm.... I just got through making 6 lbs. of meatballs.
  7. Download and print that chart. It's the only place on the web I've seen that has one that comprehensive. It's gold when it comes to ordering hardware online.
  8. Two options. 1) Send them back for credit / replacement. 2) Fish them. They may have that little bit of "oomph" that sets them apart and lights up the fish. Predators always go for the weak / slow / crippled.
  9. No sense throwing baits us commoners use. Better get some of these.... http://macdaddysjewelry.com/ Now, if only Mercedes made a bass boat..
  10. Paca for the win

Wolverine Durashocks for me. I'm absolutely brutal with boots. Within days they're stained with diesel fuel, oil, antifreeze, you name it, yet they last and last for me. They're comfortable right out of the box and stay that way until I get rid of them. Whatever brand you choose, don't skimp on boots. Your feet will thank you. Cheap boots = misery.
  12. Cabela's makes a top notch bag - the Advanced Angler's series. And they're on sale now: http://www.cabelas.com/product/Cabelas-Advanced-Anglers-Pro-Series-Tackle-Bags-with-Boxes/703137.uts?destination=%2Fbrowse.cmd%3FcategoryId%3D104849280

My musical taste runs rampant. Deep Purple one day, jazz the next, I even like classical at times. Whatever sounds good to me. I love having satellite radio in my work truck. No more commercial radio with all of their bs playlists and endless commercials, on top of hearing the same stale four songs. If I ran a radio station, the motto would be "None of the hits all of the time"

  15. My daughter saw it. I was snoring. But there were some awesome moonshadows in my backyard.

The Who Live at Leeds. Trust me on this one.
  17. I'm still waiting for a realistic fishing game complete with jet skiers and morons in other boats who encroach into your area. It would be really sweet if you could light them up with a bazooka or rocket launcher... 8-)
  18. I couldn't agree more. Yet many of my fishing friends and acquaintances, most especially, the ones who use stretchy arse mono, act like any line slip at all is a bad thing. A lot of these guys will be like, "Drag ? What's that" ? But you see, for myself, here's the thing; WAAAAY back in the day, even many years before I ever used braid, I used to use 4 lb test mono, for Stripers, and even a few Sturgeon. So I've known for a long, long time, how important a drag setting is, in all types of fishing, with all types of gear. Even with mono, a proper drag setting is important. With braid, it's way more important yet. Peace, Fish Agreed 100%. Which is just one reason you should at least consider a Pflueger Supreme the next time you are looking into a reel. One of the smoothest and reliable drags out there. A well built magnesium (lightweight !) reel for $100. Can't beat it.

  21. In spite of my crappy year overall - see my "a** whippin" thread in the General section, my tops for 2010 Tubes for the third year running Flukes - I started fishing them a lot this year and they have done very well for me. XCalibur One Knocker lipless crank. Fish on !!!
  22. I said exactly that to a friend who bought a new Apple. That was in the pre-internet days. Nowadays, every kid is allowed to use a calculator in his/her match class. Look at the ones working as a cashier. Most of them couldn't count out correct change if the register didn't tell them how much. Wanna see a cashier have a mental meltdown ? If your total is $8.22, hand them $10.25 and watch the fun begin
  23. What, no ketchup or A1 ?.... : We don't eat steak often, but when we do I like a big fat Porterhouse. I load the Weber with natural lump charcoal (not the Kingsford crap) and get that grill screaming hot. That video was right on. A little salt and pepper is all a good steak needs. My wife's brother in law is on the kitchen staff at the Sheraton Society Hill in Philadelphia. That's how they do their steaks. Good luck finding a cut of beef like that in any supermarket.
  24. ...says Raul here on the forum ;D at home it's a whole 'nother tune... Just kiddin with ya.
