This is so true. One of my favorite spots on the Alabama river is now a favorite spot of a man who uses a fish trap and catches baitfish for his troutlines. As he contuinued to harvest more and more fish and catch more and more baitfish, this spot stopped producing with the exception of the occasional fish. However, whenever I went fishing I always wasted an hour or more on this hole instead of locating another honey hole. I have finaly managed to break away and locate new spots. Fortunately, we have better holes to fish now 8-) The lesson I learned is never to get too fixated on one spot and make sure you maintain a variety of spots that consitantly yield fish. During this same time I learned that trying to use lizards year round may not produce the best results. I am now much more comfortable with cranks, topwater, jigs, and various plastics. I have 4 allstars and I like them very much. I think they are very sensitive, are of high quality, and are a great value. If you have an academy sports near you, they were having a great sale on rods. My dad got a platinum that retails for $150 for $100.

That is pretty funny. If you time it right, you may be able to watch the staff of BPS feed the fish. It is quite a sight to see the bass in that tank go after the minnows. They are bad dudes!!!

Too many more of those and I will be paying more for my insurance provided by the state. :'( I guess I will have to offset the affect of that meal by taking a few more laps around the pond ;D

I have not seen a map of the river. Maybe BPS will have one, which is <5 miles from cooter's pond. Good luck. Water clarity ;D ;D ;D ;D The water will be stained unless you go upriver near the lake Jordan dam (>25 miles).
