  11. I agree with WRB. Rarely do I catch bigger bass in with little bass.
  12. That pretty much sums up the colors I throw and technique.
  13. that american shad is just awesome.
  14. I actually make some of these. I dont list them on my site though. I've been considering it. What weight and color would you be interested in? Size blade? If I did start I'd like to keep it simple. For instance White, or chart white head, single willow or double willow.
  15. Thanks Glenn, I was bored yesterday without being able to come here and talk fishing, but as soon as I logged on and clicked. Holy crap its alot faster.
  16. I'm not familiar with the Dobyns rods but Loomis has been around alot longer and has a proven track record. They do not get hyped up like the "latest and greatest" rods. Most rods on the market now are compared to Loomis. The IMX is one of the best rods money can buy. If your looking for a slightly longer rod then the 844 Look at the BCR line. I see alot of these pop up used.
  17. Thats really cool. Congrats!!!!!!
  18. Thanks for the welcome Jigfishn10 and JFrancho
  19. Hello fellow BR gals and guys, As many of you know I have been on the boards for several years and go by the name GMAN. Hers a little intro to what I do and how I got into it. Years ago I stated fishing a lot. I taught myself how to fish a jig and was never impressed with what was available then. So I began building my own. After time fisherman approached me and started wanting to purchase jigs from me. So I began a business. Well, time after that I joined BR. I learned alot from other members off the board whether it be tackle making or fishing in general. After attending the KY Lake Road Trip and fishing with you guys(great time) I decided to sponsor the board to give back to BR. The products I offer. Some of you are familiar with some of the jigs I offer. I strive to make a great jig and offer colors that fishermen want. I have added a lot of new colors and jig head styles to my line up. I have also added weighted hooks. One of my biggest features is the ability to choose a head color that you want with a skirt color. I also do custom orders. If you are looking for something special I will try and reproduce the color. If you have any questions please pm me or email me. Please check out my site. Siebert Outdoors Thank you all Mike
  20. Same here. In MO we have a good samaritan law that protects a trained person if they follow a certain procedure.
  21. Very nice fish.
  22. Here is the closest head I could get you.Elite widegap head
  23. It simple terms its the warm water sitting on top of cold water. More in depth. I always used the above answer before I started diving. Here is how it really works. The top answer is still true. The water temp drops can be drastic also. Most lakes will have the warm water sitting on the top of cold water. As you descend and hit the thermocline the warm/cold water mix and give a real hazy look almost like steam coming off hot wet pavement. The water usually clears as you decend through the thermocline and reach the bottom. Atleast this is my experience in diving alot of lakes. For example one of my dives this weekend the first 10 ft were reasonably clear. Then at about 12-18 ft I couldnt see anything at all. When I hit 25 it cleared up almost as clear as when I was at less then 10ft. Not all lakes are like this but most clearer lakes I have dove all share this similarity. This dive the surface was 78 degrees. approx 15 ft was about 60 deg and 40ft was about 50degrees.
