Hey guys I am about to purchase my first foot controlled trolling motor. I want to know were I get the best buy for my buck. Minn kota has a 2 year warrenty and I seen Cabelas has a refurbished model of the edge 40 for about $60 less. I don't think I want to mess around with anything like that though. I am looking at a Edge 40 but I wanted to ask around first. What about motor guide?

Hey guys I have a few chatter bait. I tried them a few times and didn't do good so I was woundering if I use them right. I was swimming them letting hit bottom and swim em again.

Hey Fuzzynuts when fishing a chatter bait do you jig em or swim them. I tried them last season and could catch nothing.

Hey Muddy Mook glad you had a good time. I got burn as well and been using the aloe too. I had a blast out there even though I have been skunked 3 out of the 3 times I went. Like you always tell me its fishing not catching. I think once I learn more of this lake I'll be able to put together some patterns.

I was out at Spruce Run and they were hitting the top like crazy. I wouldn't get a strike at all though. I tried the tiny torpedo and a small jitter bug but nothing. I never thought of using a wake bait this early either. Next time I will.

Hey Russ how you been? The water was stained. They were hitting the top for hours while the sun was high. I threw finess topwater baits like the tiny torpedo, jitterbugs and buzz baits. What should I look for now?

Hey guys went back to Spruce Run on Sat. I got skunked again. I went back to the shallows hoping the bass would be warming up. They were there too. I seen them hitting the top. So I threw top water, jigs, and spinners. No strikes. Water temp 51 F and stained. I was fishing bushes and mud flats. Need Help. Thanx

Hey guys I was back on Spruce Run Sat. I went back to the first arm of the lake. I wanted to check the shallows to see if the bass were warming in the sun. Yes they were. I kept seeing the bass hit the top left and right. I started with jigs then went to top water baits. Nothing. The a large bass jumped in front of me. I threw a spinner bait but no strike. The water temp was 51 F. I don't know why I couldn't hook up with one.
