  2. Hey guys I am on the market to get a new spinning rod. Was intrested in the President and I heard it was discontinued. Is it true. I went to my near by Dicks and they didn't have it. If it's still being sold then were do I purchase them at? http://www.pfluegerfishing.com/products/products.php?p=75
  3. Have you taken a look at the schematics? I would say your rite about that knob there. I don't know for shore but I would look at the schematics that came with your reel.
  4. Hey bud I don't know about the exstremes much but this is a great thread if you can't find the other 2 BB. You said you tel a difference a little though. Were would the other 2 BB be? You are saying in the crank?
  5. Are you refering to the glue for hot glue guns? The kinds used for crafts? I ask b/c I need to replace a tip as well. I was going to use epoxy to put the new one one. I guess the hot glue is so you can remove it latter if needed rite?
  6. X2 I was throwing the rage craw on a jig in the channel th9is weekend. BOOOM! The bass hammered it dude. They hit that bait hard I'll tell yea.
  7. LMAo Wow that went rite over my head I thought Robby was refering to someone who passed away lol.

  9. Hey Mohammad how was the trip up to college? I didn't forget the pics the camera is only drying out from the 1,000 gallons of water in it lol. Who is this bill sorry if I missed it.
  10. Hey guys me and Robby Z hit Spruce run yesterday. I am still new to bassin but he has years of knowlegde. He did manage to catch to small Hybrid Bass. We couldn't find smallies or largemouth. He did put me on to another area were we found 12' creek channel on the side I've never fished. I had a great time whlie fishing with Mohammad the bass terrist aka Robby Z LMAO (inside joke) Are day started out tough for us both LOL between the both of us we must have had 10 birds nest. Then Robby managed to suck up half a spool of line from my Trion usin the trolling motor. So we went to the shore I took off the prop and out it came, Robby lost his lucky lure and got out of the boat and was wading up to his neck looking for the F&*& ing thing LMAO I told him he could have one of mine. After that we moved tried the other side of the lake thats were Robby caught his dinks. Then we went to the points that Zel told me to fish. As we got there the storm came running in. We both looked at it and said it's going to miss us. then the wind picked up and the lake was violent so we headed in. Then came the rain and it was more like being under a masive water fall. It was so strong it stung like crazy when it hit us. By the time the boat was on the trailer it was like 15 min. and we were soaked bad. LMAO I had a blast thanks Mohammad I want to hear more about Spruce Run if you guys have fished it. For now I'll call this lake Skunked Run
  11. I'm in for sleeping on the boat in a lightning storm
  12. So why do you find that using a light Fluro is better for jerks? I assume you put a barrel swivel on the line then to rid of the spin in the line.
  13. Are you related to Muddy?? ;D That rod/reel choice sounds like his setup (unless he's changed since I was on here last year). Yes I am related to Muddy he is my Uncle and my cousin. LOL The great Pa you never know. JK we are very good freinds he has taken me under his wing and taught me alot. He actualy gave me a combo a few years back and turned me on to bassin. I use to fish with my dad as a kid and now I am back in buisness. ;D So what gear ratios do you guys prefer for jerk baits?
  14. Thanks for the details Kenny. Always interesting. Really you can rig your hook that high from the sinker. I am headed back to Spruce Run tomorrow I hope to try some drop shot. What are good bait to start with?
  15. I remember I seen that for the first time on the Bass Master elite. I beleive it was Horton landed 2 on one cranik my jaw dropped since I can't even land one on a crank LMAO :-[
  16. Wow I would love to live out there. Just look at that senery. I would frame that pic if I were you. Nice job congrats
  17. X2 Are you looking for a spinning set up? Keep your eyes opean at wall mart. At the end of last year I got a ABU conalon for $11 and I had a reel for it. It's a Med 6'6 2 peice. But a great spinning reel is the Pfleuger President retail for $50.
  18. Great so any of those ponds in the golf cousres and parks have bass?
  19. Yeah, now one of those big ones would be a lot better. Good idea about numbering them too. And you could double up on some things like the screws holding the sideplates on if they're the same size and you have more than one. Or some things that are obviously not easy to mix up such as the handle and drag star, you always know which order those go back in. The internals are what you'd want to make sure you lay out exactly as they came out and only put one per hole in the carton. Yea I have to get some of the large ones as well. Rite now I have about 3 dozen cartons. So Rooster does the trion have the same roller bearing?
  20. Hope LBH is in to wide screen shots ;D LMAO ;D
  21. Thanks for that link. I added it to favorites to check out later, looks interesting. To me, I found it no trouble to learn to do this as I'm pretty mechanically inclined. Some it comes easy for, some not so much. But if you keep all your parts in some kind of organization to let you know how to reassemble them then it will be a LOT easier to learn. I like to be aware of what each part is doing on the reel (its job) before I remove it and that way I know where it should go back if I drop it or forget where it was before I took it off. Some parts are easy to figure out and some aren't because they may have a shape to them that is totally customized to fit them in their place where they belong. But just laying out loose on the table, they look like nothing at all and give you no clues to how they would fit. I'm not sure about the egg carton since it would only have 12 or 18 holes to use. You will have a lot more parts than that and would have to double up, or even triple up or more in order to make it hold everything. Then if you don't put them back in the proper order as you dig them out of the little cups, things will not work or fit right. Good luck though. I like the camera idea, photo before you remove parts then reference the pics. Some parts will fit either way but only one way is right, such as with washers that are bent (opposing). They are supposed to fit like this () but sometimes people put them back like this )( instead. Also the main gear will go on the shaft either way but it's cupped to hold drag washers and needs to go on in only one way. Roller bearing too, it only turns one way but might fit on both ways. Your reel would turn backwards. That would be horrible to put it all back together and then have to tear it down again to flip the roller bearing around. NOTE: that roller bearing will fall apart on you if you pull the sleeve out of the center of it. Don't let it come apart or you'll have real fun : putting that one back together. And this might sound like I am giving you great advice but I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff. I'm good at this while doing it but only so so at explaining how to do it. And even at that, I'm not an expert, I've made mistakes and had to disassemble it again to fix them. Takes time to learn it, and it helps if you have more than one of the same reel as well incase you did do something wrong, you could always open up the second one to look at in order to see how it goes back together. GOOD LUCK!!! You make it sound easy :-[ Almost easier then muddy lol but I am looking foward to it. This roller bearing the balls will fall out is this what you are talking about?
  22. Great thanks you so much looks a little intimidating but I will work slowley one step at a time.
  23. Great info I was going to just google what the IM graphite ment. So what are powerwalls?
