  1. If this is a serious inquiry - I'll say no - it's not practical. If this is an April fools day deal - I say Definitely. And you should Always use the Mint. A-Jay
  2. X2 ~ This covers it for me as well. Though not part of this "poll" - I do also like the Xtreme-Skin handle St Croix puts on the LegendXtreme line. A-Jay

  7. I do not waste my time & effort doing anything except trying to be part of the solution. I was offering you the benefit of my experience - which is what you asked for. I simply chose to focus on how to be successful rather than list Horror stories which are in my opinion often self induced. A-Jay
  8. The list of factors that make Night Time Bass Fishing Operations attractive to me is long & varied. In no particular order: the lake is usually empty, the winds are usually less than during the day, the bass are often a little shallower, Top water baits are pretty good at night, the bigger bass are often a less wary under the cover of darkness, a spinnerbait is like magic, and to key in on the present for you personally - a moon burn is highly unlikely but do bring insect repellent. As for tips & techniques - fish the same type of productive water & baits you have success with during the day. However, drop shots, & super finesse stuff may not be necessary at night. Fish places you know well, wear a PFD, tell someone where you'll be & when to expect you home. Bring at least Two Lights (headlamps work well). Keep your gear & boat deck neat clean & organized or you'll find that loose plug stuck some where bad. Have Fun and bring a camera with a flash . . . Good Luck A-Jay
  9. They are easy to find. What may be less common, are stories about men who have made every effort possible to research the portions of home ownership that are important to them and ensure they have as much information as possible. Use the paid advice of Professionals when needed (not friends, family members or any party who has a stake in your investment) This does not guarantee there may still not be challenges to face, but it does seem to drastically reduce The Horror Stories; which are so often self induced. Spend whatever time you do have now effectively, BEFORE any commitment. However hard it may be now, there is a good chance it can save you time, money & frustration later. Good Luck up in Bean Town A-Jay
  10. Nice Bass ~ Congrats And I just checked the Bass Catching & Photo rules - It's OK to Smile and you get extra credit for doing it on one leg . . . . A-Jay

  13. Surprised with warmer weather yesterday, my wife & I could not pass up the chance to get more work in (bike-joring training) with Gunner & Brody, our 1 1/2 year old rescues. We rolled the dice and chose the logging road. Conditions were 33 degrees, clear skies, light north wind and mud, more mud, slop, mud, snow, ice, mud, ice, mud, deep slippery mud, smooth slick snow and mud. All added together and it equals, HAPPY muddy dogs! The boys did fantastic, truly fantastic. Off camera - I took a sweet digger - nothing like an Ice Cold Mud Bath. A-Jay https://youtu.be/DhOdNjdXWz8

I use scents on the majority of baits, plastics, swimbaits & trailers I throw. Can't say for sure if "They Work", but do believe they don't hurt. Get a tube of Megastrike and see what happens. You just might find out you'll never want to fish a bait without it again. A-Jay
  19. Rod ratings are a "Guide" ~ not Gospel. Go fish it - if it works, great. If not, do something that does. A-Jay
  20. Nice "Rat" Bass ~ Congrats. A-Jay
  21. I do not own this product. I am a fan of the Cabelas brand and the reviews are decent. I bet you'll be happy with it. Besides, that Price is Killer & would be tough to beat. A-Jay
