  1. I had to start using wire - it was that bad - but in a good way A-Jay
  2. Yup - just decent medium/heavy bass gear is usually sufficient. Even if you go the big live bait route, only a small step up in tackle would really be necessary. Though I don't like to admit, my biggest pike have all come while I was bass fishing and not actually targeting pike. I'm good that way. A-Jay
  3. I know - you guys haven't come close to cleaning up the Last Two - Quick - Run out and buy the Milk & Bread A-Jay

  6. Similar deal for me too. I feed a wood stove all winter and that's like a job. A-Jay
  7. Interesting ~ In my case, I don't think target range will be a concern. However, a powder burn might come into play. A-Jay
  8. Oh Yea, I like that. ~ and don't forget that trailer hook - preferably a Big Treble. A-Jay

Family history indicates that these are not optional for me, instead I believe a Buff is more along the lines of "Survival Equipment". So, YES, I wear them. A-Jay
  10. I use a braid w/mono leader system and the kvd LC goes on all the spools used for leader material. I like it. A-Jay
  11. I think that's what makes it even funnier. A-Jay
  12. Man walks into a bank and say to the teller in the window "I want to open a ******* checking account". The astonished woman replies "Sir, that kind of language is not tolerated in this bank" The women then leaves the window to tell the Bank Manager of her situation. The Manager agrees that the woman should not have to listen to that type of language. They both return to the window and the Manager asks the man "what seems to be the problem here?" "There is no ******* problem" the man explains, "I just won $200 million in the dam lottery and I want to put my money into this dam bank". Oh....I see" say the bank manager, "and is this ***** giving you a hard time, Sir ?"
  13. It's just so encouraging to hear how excited you are regarding this spine tingling sport. I see no reason why you shouldn't turn your drive way into a year round curling rink. If you build it Doug ~ they will come . . . . . . A-Jay
  14. Nice Job ~ Those first bites most have been very exciting and quite encouraging. Looks like a good place for a couple of automatic fish feeding units. A-Jay
  15. All things being equal - I buy the best bait that I don't have to change the hardware on - A-Jay

  18. Had quite a bit of training on Hypothermia but clearly not an expert. Certainly an event driven occurrence and a Medical Emergency for sure, however I have not heard of individuals becoming more or easily susceptible to the condition as a result of being in that situation previously. When treating the patient, "Have you ever had Hypothermia before?" was not a question or consideration. It's been a while, perhaps it's changed. Either way, what you're saying is You Were pretty cold eh . . . . A-Jay
  19. Check out the Pro Locker Rod Bag - TW sells one, but is not the only source of supply. Besides being used for storage, when laid out flat on your front deck it might be what you're looking for. A-Jay
  20. That's great to hear - but not be a surprise. Regardless of the model, using the gear responsibly and maintaining it usually results in plenty of faithful service. A-Jay
  21. I own several models of Quantum reels and I am a fan. Though I do not own that particular reel, the Kinetic model is a mid to lower level quality reel. Doesn't mean it's a bad product but like anything you have to expect that a certain level of performance will come with a reel sold in a plastic bubble wrap and carrying a lower price tag. At that level, models from most companies are designed and built with components that match the price they ask for them. You simply have to decide what you want and what you're willing you pay for it. A-Jay
  22. With no children in the house and very few if any "visitors", we keep it quite accessible and only a pump away from "Here Comes the Boom". A-Jay
  23. We went Vintage Newspaper ~ btw - did they have cameras way back then? A-Jay
  24. This young man clearly has a very bright future in Politics. A-Jay http://www.wimp.com/deniallevel/
