  2. Try turning the sleeve back into itself a couple of inches. Offers some room between the sleeve and the bait. Also, lure wraps are super helpful. Kastking makes a good one. A-Jay
  3. Gramps knows what's up. A-Jay
  4. Congrats ~ Sounds like it's working out. Now once it's done, Take that newly repaired ride straight to the dealer and TRADE IT IN ! Do Not Pass Go and do not collect $200. Good Luck A-Jay
  5. I will go shallow when the bass are feeding shallow. Doesn't mean I always get them, but it does seems my odds of success go up a bit. Shallow for me is anything less than 15 ft depending on water clarity. Later summer sees me in stupid skinny water, 4 feet sometimes. Not a place many bassheads hunt trophy brown bass on Lake Menderchuck. Accordingly, I've has some very memorable mornings doing it. Fish Hard A-Jay https://youtu.be/sITpRNLz_04?feature=shared

  7. Workout Day 4 this morning. Keeping my nose to the grind stone. #borninfiftynine https://youtu.be/_M4t4j1Sw3g?feature=shared A-Jay
  8. Workout Day 3 this morning. Had Birthday Cake with my pre training meal. I think it helped. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  9. This was the answer by the Rage Tail inventor and designer in 2011, and probably still is today. A-Jay
  10. I think intuition and situational awareness go hand in hand. Seems hard for me to have any of one without at least that much of the other. Been fortune in that living with a small pack of high prey drive dogs, has helped me belive in them and myself. Regardless of whether I actually "see" something or not. There's s a feeling that always needs to at the very least, be investigated. Hard to explain but it's definitely part of my existence. I also believe age can help a person get better at this. Finally, If you don't think 'women's Intuition' is real, you're only fooling yourself. A-Jay
  11. Congrats to you Sir And thank you for letting me know. Keep up the grind. 👍 A-Jay
  12. I use 4's EWG on most standard size baits, like 110's. Split rings a size 3 Owner Hyper wire. I can get away with it because the trebles are short shank. Also #3 oval split ring line tie. For the Jr. Size baits, I change stock 8's to short shank ewg 6's and rings are 2's. In most instances, especially with Megabass, those changes alone turn the suspender into a slow sink. Often a bite getter for me. A-Jay
  13. Storm SuspenStrips And Suspendots are decent. It's like an art form. A-Jay
  14. After a couple of off days on the water, I was back in the home gym for Workout Day 2. This one was special as it marked my 65th successful trip around the sun. Let's keep that going for as long as possible. #borninfiftynine https://youtu.be/12KSRhOxF1I?feature=shared A-Jay
  15. I get that 'it's entertainment', but C'Mon Dude . . . . Is that the best he can come up with ? "But he's so passionate . . . ." Not for me. A-Jay
  16. I'm working on some Ike Mute software. Using facial recognition, every time his mug appears on my PC, the volume automatically cuts completely out until he's gone. I'll let you know once I work out a few bugs. Seems the high pitch of his voice is similar to a screech owl. 🤓 A-Jay
  17. He's such a Spaz. And his fish care habits are not what I'd call exemplary. 😨 A-Jay
  18. Yup, finally. I'll add casting accuracy to the above most concise list. A-Jay
  19. Actual adult and mature married men and women know how to and are confident enough to communicate honestly & effectively. Boils down to truly having real respect for yourself and your significant other. Life is way too short for anything else. A-Jay
  20. I do not have or even been on a rig with FFS. I am of the mind set of let's wait and see. This forum has something like 75k registered members and I bet there's at least 10x that lurking in the shadows. At some point in the not too distance future, those of us who have been part of this amazing journey for a few decades, will IMO no doubt recognize a change. The level of significance of this change has yet to be determined. However if and when the reports thread, and the lastest picture thread starts blowing up with pages upon pages of posts depicting Giant after Giant bass, being landed by folks with little to no bass fishing experience, that might convinc me that this FFS phase of fishing, is anything more than just that. Talented anglers will continue to succeed while others will continue to struggle; with or with out FFS. Perhaps I'm just in denial, but over the course of the decades I've been at this, countless deals dubbed the next big thing, have ended up just being a thing. Now after all that, I going fishing. ALWAYS HARD. Even though we know it's the right thing to do, Still pretty brutal. Very sorry about the loss of your boy. Our Pack is thinking of you. A-Jay
  22. It's a complicated deal. All said and done currently the at home treatment is not our best option. Fortunately the treatment center is not too much of a hike. A-Jay
  23. I live 'up north'. And I like St Croix. In fact, I purchased another one today. A-Jay
