  1. I wear an amber lense in low light or cloudy. A Black lense covers most generally sunny conditions. And the blue lense in the brightest sun with reflections off the surface. Bass not always included. 😎 A-Jay
  2. Thanks ~ It's been a weird & wild season so far. Completely different from the past several I've fished. Just don't know what the heck to expect on any given trip. I know what I'd like to see in the net, but it's anyone's guess if there's even a chance. I'm staying positive. At least this last trip was a good sign anyway. Full moon mid week, and it sets well before astronomical twilight. Always a good sign in my book. I'll be out there. A-Jay
  3. @Peacedivision Nice Bass PBs are Always a Blast ! Congrats A-Jay
  4. Just noticed that the kooky old guy working out in his basement has got over 77K views. Kind of wild really. Either way, Thanks for the support. A-Jay
  5. I'd skip that November thing. A-Jay
  6. You both seem to be beating up on your local bass population without resorting to heaving that rig around. Feels like I'm casting a chandelier. A balanced bait & tackle helps but it's still a commitment. Somehow when it pays off and I get 1 or two fatties, the next few trips, fishing it doesn't seem like such a chore. Either way, don't remember ever catching a brown bass that was less than 5 lbs on it. So there's plenty of confidence right there. A-Jay
  7. Interesting. I pretty much came to the same conclusions in my high school cafeteria. Not much if any of that mess was real food either. A-Jay
  8. After a day on the water and an extra off day, I was back in the home gym for Workout Day 1. Completed 3 working sets of the 5 scheduled movements. Showing the last two sets of each here. #borninfiftynine https://youtu.be/QnoMvQAIH3I?feature=shared A-Jay
  9. You'd need to stick around. Cuz I'm betting we might need an interpreter. 😅 A-Jay
  10. Thanks for the kind words I appreciate it. But you don't need to worry about fishing behind me @Catt because if I ever did see you on thee water, I'll be going the other way . . . . . #takemetoschool 😎 A-Jay
  11. I believe as with any wildlife, including fish, for every action by me there is at least some type of reaction by them. After all we are intruding on 'their' world and they know it a whole lot better than I ever will. What that reaction maybe or how significant regarding fish catches is, probably changes over time. But I can not say for sure one way or the other. Either way, I seem to have more success on 'less pressured waters', regardless of size. Might be just me, but I'm not a fan of crowds and am super fortune to live & fish in a part of the country where, if I am willing to put in some effort, I am for the most part able to avoid them. So best case scenario for me is when I am the fishing pressure. A-Jay
  12. IMO, the lightest weight that still allows for a decent cast and reaches the desired depth, the better. Using a hook with sufficient gap or bite is pretty key as well. When bigger bass want a smaller profile seems to present the biggest challenge for me. But not one that can't be over come. Falcon Lures Ewg Bait Jerker Hook works for me in this clip. https://youtu.be/1to6ti-tlZY?feature=shared&t=135 A-Jay https://www.southern-reel.com/falcon-lures-ewg-bait-jerker-hook/
  13. Thank you my friend. Water temps noted when I landed the brown bass were 67. I am fishing that rig sort of in an opposite manner of the tradition approach in the warm, shallow water. I go burn with a pause rather than slow with a quick burn. Strikes often come on the first reel turn after the pause. I fish a spinnerbait this time of year the same way. Routine visits to the home gym all year certainly help throw/crank that rig for hours at a time as well. You know what it's like. Hoping to get back out this coming week; maybe Wednesday morning. A-Jay
  14. I fish mainly for smallmouth, Always from a boat & never from shore. Either way, 'what I spend' annually is on a need to know basis. Lets just say that it's something less than the National Deficit but more than a pack of gum. A-Jay

Glad to hear you're sticking with it. While Stevia has some benefits, if 'the baked goods' your referring to include white flour & butter, you may be pulling on both sides of the rope. Friendly reminder, 'rewarding' yourself with cake & cookies, in any form, is the opposite of a reward and mostly counter productive to your goal. One reason many folks have trouble losing 'those last few pounds of body fat', is that they are unwilling to modify their life style sufficiently to get there. They saw results and expect them to just continue. Sometimes that works, sometimes it does not. What you did worked well, and now you may need to do more. So just do it. Keep it up and Good Luck. 16. No sir I did not notice I am happy with the 7 type H's I've got. So I stopped looking. A-Jay
  17. Feeling nostalgic this morning I visited the flat where I caught my PB Smallie 7 years ago. Well all of that was quickly put to rest by Mr Pike who Clobbered my walking bait. And then tried his best to make me believe he was a big bass - no such luck. Never did get the topwater for bass deal going despite what looked like semi-idea conditions. Limiting factor - no bait shallow. In fact, it took me most all of the morning to even find a couple of schools of yellow perch. But once I did, my efforts were rewarded. I'll get out again, just don't have a clue when that might be, I was thankful for this one however. A-Jay Side bar - been down to only 1 GoPro for a while now. But ordered two new units that should be up and running in a couple of weeks. Hope I can still fish.
  18. The A-Rig accounted for this gorgeous Brown bass today. Brief report to follow. A-Jay
  19. I use 15 lb InvisX (and Tatsu) successfully for chatterbaits, spinnerbaits & swim jigs. I'll fish it over and around soft cover, but not "in it". Especially not thick slop type stuff. Not sure any FC, regardless of Brand, that will perform like a braided line will in heavy soft cover. A-Jay
  20. At first glance, I thought for sure you had hooked yourself. Glad that's not the case. A-Jay
  21. Having more than 1 or 2 fatties come unbuttoned ALWAY shakes my confidence. Still a great finish. Way to stick with. Congrats and Good Luck at the Championship. A-Jay
