  1. Oh you mean like when a derby is purposely scheduled so that anglers can repeatedly catch the same 10 brown bass off their beds for 4 DAYs IN A ROW ? I get that. A-Jay Guilty, but I'm not in denial and I'm working on it. It's feels like a 12 step type program. I'm at the "apologize to the Monkey" stage right now. It's not going well either. A-Jay
  2. Been doing well with other baits and have never really been able to build any confidence in them. Much of that might be from lack of fishing them. Either way, if I'm not ever throwing them, don't need to take them for boat rides. I don't get wrapped up in business stuff that much. A-Jay
  3. After yanking the Berkley & Rapala branded jerkbaits off of the boat and out of the regular rotation, I’m left with Strike King, Lucky Craft, Smithwick and Megabass offerings. And I’m good with that, because they produce. However, this minor bait reduction left a couple of small voids in my arsenal. Specifically in the ‘smaller’ size range. So I did a little poking around and results are listed and pictured below. Additions are underlined. From the top row down . . . (and mostly for size reference) Row 1 ~ Vision 110 R +1 Row 2 ~ Vision 110 +1 Rows 3 (new colors), 4 & 5 ~ Vision 110 Row 6 ~ Vision 110 Silent Row 7 ~ Vision 110 +1 Jr Row 8 ~ X-Nanahan +2 Row 9 ~ X-Nanahan +1 Jerkbait So let’s see how this deal goes . . . 51 Days ~ A-Jay
  4. Sorry to hear you're laid up. Hope your surgery goes as planned and you're back to feeling better sooner rather than later. Also, we only get one chance to rehab correctly. After that, everything else is damage control. Exercise the self discipline to let yourself heal properly. Doctors Orders. 👨‍⚕️ A-Jay

Seems you've been dealing with a good dose of life for a while now. https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/251762-question-for-men-over-55/ The advice offered here and previously regarding professional assistance seems appropriate. Hope you can find the help you need. A-Jay

Sleep is such an important and wildly beneficial deal - that so many folks simply refuse to acknowledge. When we miss sleep in order to keep up with our 24/7 world, we pay a price with our ability to learn, our health and safety, and our quality of life. It may seem obvious that sleep is beneficial. Even without fully grasping what sleep does for us, we know that going without sleep for too long makes us feel terrible, and that getting a good night's sleep can make us feel ready to take on the world. Scientists have gone to great lengths to fully understand sleep's benefits. Studies have proven that sufficient sleep plays a critical role in immune function, metabolism, memory, learning, and other vital functions. Is there really a valid excuse for not to getting enough sleep ? You're in charge of your own life - so why not help yourself be the best The Version of you? You'll be so much better off, short term and long term. Shoot for 7-8 hours a night. Nothing else matters and you can do whatever TOMORROW ! Finally a good night's rest is just one aspect of a healthy life style. If much of the rest of ones existence is self destructive, the sleep might seems less beneficial. A-Jay
  18. Been using this one for quite a while. Very Good. https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/RPE_Tackle_Tungsten_Swinging_Football_Jig_No_Hook_/descpage-RPEFJ.html A-Jay https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/211811-brown-bass-tools-~-questions-answers/?do=findComment&comment=2467689
  19. How much & what kind of cheese are we talking about here ? A-Jay
  20. That's pretty funny ~ As for the the bait's action or lack of, I can buy some of that. But what's more important to me is depth & speed. Most often I'm running these baits on or near the bottom. The speed is controlled by jig head weight and to some extent, the line (type & size). I employ a lift & fall deal quite a bit; either a slack line or tight line. Slack line in warmer water & tight line glide in cooler conditions. Regardless, the jig head weight can help dictate the rate of fall. Where that Keitech Fat Swing Impact really shines for me is that besides working great at a faster speed, it will STILL, swim seductively on a slow tight line glide. SK and a few others I've tried will often not swim (meaning the tail will NOT do anything) at the slowest speeds. In fact, I have a pile of Rage swimmers that I'll only use with the heaviest weights. Good Luck and Congrats on the move to Western Washington. A-Jay
  21. 52 Days now ~ Temperatures over the next several days will be closer to normal compared to where we have been recently. There will be chances for flurries/snow showers each day. And it's "Tight Line Sunday". Going with a sweet spinnerbait bass . This one comes from the 'private collection'. Fish Hard A-Jay
  22. Very interesting video ~ Thanks for sharing it. Couldn't help but notice that it seemed like for some of the 'experiments', Sir Isaac Newton wasn't wearing pants. Perhaps the presence of a metal zipper would interfere with the results. A-Jay
  23. There's little to no chance my fuel will suddenly go bad out on the lake. But if I somehow killed my cranking battery, I carry a booster pack deal. A-Jay
  24. I use a line spooling deal that allows of any size spool (including bulk) . Having some 'tension' on the line as it comes off the spool and goes on the reel helps me get a level and consistent wind most every time. This is what it looks like. A-Jay
  25. Hammered out Push 2 workout this morning. Finished off the shoulder & chest training with a drop set. Always a good time. #bornnfiftynine A-Jay
