  1. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ Good Luck A-Jay
  2. How about we just keep that little nuggets to ourselves there Mr. Helper . . . . 🤓 A-Jay
  3. Early season I seem to run into more pike in shallower water than these Swithwick's run, so I've not lost one to a pike - yet. However, Other baits are not so fortunate. Sort of why I am carry a somewhat redundant inventory. A-Jay

    Speaking of never learning . . . 😁 A-Jay
  8. A Knife is totally unnecessary. A-Jay
  9. This poor little guy was plum full of all manner of things . . . A-Jay
  10. Back when I figured out the benefit of the Mustad KVD 1x Strong 2x Short Triple Grip Treble Hook trebles for me, I went to look for them in bulk. Guess it was maybe 10 years ago. Actually made a couple of different purchases off E-Bay of 100 hk bags for a pretty good price. The number of the hook I like is TG76NP-BN. What I received in the bulk packages WAS NOT THE SAME HOOK. It was CLOSE, but not the same. Points were like stock, sort of bad. Also the material & color was different. I DON'T USE THEM. If you chose to go the bulk route (which I no longer do) buyer beware. Check the serial numbers closely and make sure what you're ordering, is what you want. Using a vendor that has a guaranteed & easy return policy might be a good idea as well. I buy a lot of treble hooks - they are NOT all the same. A-Jay
  11. OK so perhaps not that far off for me. But when I picked that date I can admit I was being wildly optimistic, never for a real second thinking that it would ever even be close to that. Be careful what you wish for . . . . I'd even take a snot rocket at this point. 😁 A-Jay
  12. If it goes out any time in March here, I don't even have to look. I was WAAAAAY off ! 🤓 A-Jay
  13. Yup - Since I do have an open CIR bass season open early, I plan on being ready for whatever ends up happening. For a while there I thought I might be fishing in Feb, but that seems a bit unrealistic at this point. But March surely has potential. Just need the wind to not be crazy. A-Jay
  14. I smell what you're cooking and I get it. It's not a one size fits all deal. I've been doing it so long now, I can switch them out in seconds, almost without looking. https://youtu.be/qIcmPirLk9I?feature=shared&t=21 But I've had an obscene amount of practice. Good Luck A-Jay
  15. Mild temperatures in the 30's & 40's are expected through much of this week. The anomalously warm winter temperatures over the last several weeks/months, has us a full 3 feet low on our annual snow fall average. Open water is visible on several area lakes with what some call dangerously thin (but I prefer wonderfully thin) ice in some cases. Ice is never 100% safe caution must be exercised on these lakes. Ice fisherman, skiers, snow mobile operators and abominable snowmen are all pretty bummed out at this point. Me, not so much. 43 Days to go - maybe. A-Jay
  16. Nice ! Now that's what I call being 'productive'. A-Jay
  17. Legs 2 workout this morning. Been feeling pretty good which has allowed me to be consistent. Meaning I haven't needed to add extra off days. Hate missing workout in the winter because I know I'll be missing a some once there's open water. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  18. I haven't bought a Zebco in a while. But I did catch one . . . A-Jay
  19. Pretty sure that level of inventory designates you as the flashabou regional distribution center. Great color selection btw. A-Jay
  20. Truth be told, I never used it before. I purchased a few Biovex baits that had it. They really produced. I started adding it after that. My best spinnerbait bite usually includes wind and SUN. A little flashabou on any pattern seems ok. Clearly not a magic bullet, but it keeps my confidence high enough to continue the chunking & winding. A-Jay
  21. Been running the DD26 gear since 2021. Good so far. A-Jay
  22. Yes, I call her the Lund 1875 Pro-V Bass. A-Jay
  23. I took a deep dive into this subject matter recently. Admittedly, I may me putting a bit more into it than necessary. But maybe not . . . https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/241684-treble-hook-replacement-~-one-man’s-theory-application/ A-Jay
  24. Yes it is ~ a little goes a long way. Past few seasons, that pattern has been like baseball. It's been very good to me. A-Jay
