  1. Back around to Legs 1 this morning. Hoping this can help keep me stable & balanced up on the bow of the Pro-V Bass for as long as possible . . . #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  2. I spool my own bass gear and have been for a few decades now. I'm sure it's just me but I honestly can't trust a retail human. A-Jay
  3. It's been too cold to foster a dog, so I've had time. If I get the rest of this done early enough, there's a couple of potential candidates locally that we are keeping an eye on. A- Jay
  4. 73 Days ~ Temps in the single digits again this morning. However forecast is calling for a little bump in air temps up to the 30-ish range by mid-week. I'd take that right about now. All the rigs have been checked, prepped & cleaned for the next campaign. I'll be readying baits for sale all this week and am looking forward to giving them a happy new home. Either way, it's 'Tight Line Sunday' which up to this point has been dominated by brown bass. So let's fix that . . . . #likeagrouper A-Jay
  5. A buggy whip, nine feet of baling wire, and Marge's husband. It was like magic happened. A-Jay

  7. Nice looking Lund. And those suggested monthly payments on the Bass Cat are more than my new truck & mortgage payments combined. btw how many bedrooms is the Bass Cat ? 🙃 A-Jay
  8. Nice. I grew up in New England and before moving up here right in the center of The Snow Belt, I thought I knew snow. Lake Effect snow ❄️ is a completely different animal. 2-3 inches an hour is routine. And it just keeps coming and coming and coming and coming and coming. Turns out, I did not know snow. 🤪 A-Jay

Here's some fun info ~ With Temperatures in the single digits, keep in mind road salt is not as effective against ice in extreme cold temperatures. See chart below. At a temperature of 30 degrees, one pound of salt will melt 46 pounds of ice. As the temperature drops, salt's effectiveness slows to the point when the temperature drops down near 10 degrees and below, salt hardly works at all. Road Commission crews will use more of a salt/sand mixture during extremely low temperatures to give road surfaces some “grit” for better traction. The sand does not remove the ice! It is important to keep a safe distance from other vehicles, reduce speeds and give yourself adequate travel time to reach your destination safely. Stay Warm and drive safe. A-Jay
  10. Local County Road Commission here is LOADED ~ and they need to be. https://www.facebook.com/100069352593875/videos/346774791536999 A-Jay

Not totally sure but I think low or non existent residential water pressure is part of it. It's also close to zero degrees. A-Jay
  12. So do you watch a bunch of BASS LIVE ? 😋 A-Jay

Big fish Jeff in Memphis hasn't had water in a week. Dishes and poopies are really piling up. 😬 A-Jay
  14. Yes. HS1332 For it's size it's a real beast of a unit A-Jay
  15. ^^^^ Serious Rig right there ~ Despite pacing itself, winter finally arrived here. We're getting something a close to our average for the winter. Comes out to an inch or so a day - for close to 150 inches. It's like living in a snow globe for 4- 5 months or so. Been stupid cold recently so I haven't messed with the cameras, but this is some stuff from last winter. A-Jay
  16. No FFS for me ~ So not thinking about it.
  17. Pull 2 this morning. Eased into the T-Bar Rows as I haven't done them in a bit. Rest of this one went well. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  18. Sniper ~ I fish alone and think independently. Make rapid, accurate assessments and mental calculations. Maintain an emotionally stable personal life, (always working hard on this one). Function effectively under stress. Am patient, pay attention to detail, persevere, and maintain physical endurance. Focus completely, and endure solitude. Stand outside myself to objectively evaluate the situation. Remain free from detrimental personal habits. I have a decent degree of stamina, and some athletic skills and abilities. A-Jay

#2's work fine for regular 110's & Jr's. As for affecting the action, I'm going with no, not adversely. But you can decide for yourself. A-Jay
  20. Do you think that the type of rod makes a difference as far as feeling light strikes? Can't say there’s a measurable difference either way. I probably miss the same number of bites on both types of gear. Also define 'light'. . . . . A-Jay
  21. Did the lawyer thing - 2 in fact. We waited too long to apply - 5 year rule is not negatable apparently. https://trulaw.com/legal-guides/social-security-disability-insurance/what-is-the-social-security-disability-5-year-rule/ But thanks. I am no longer responding to replies here. Too depressing. A-Jay
  22. @WRB ~ So Good. Thank you. To my knowledge there isn't one yet, but I would like to nominate Tom Young as the first ever inductee into the Bass Resources Hall Of Fame. A-Jay
  23. LOL ~ Fixed it . . . A-Jay
  24. Follow up & closure on this one ~ Just found out Lynn is not qualified for SSDB because of "the 5 year rule". Look it up before you need to. Wish we'd known. https://trulaw.com/legal-guides/social-security-disability-insurance/what-is-the-social-security-disability-5-year-rule/ I'm done here. #bummer A-Jay
