  1. I've become pretty good at forgetting. In my case it's a survival skill. A-Jay
  2. Replacement part has been ordered and will be shipped from California directly. Boom. I like it ! A-Jay
  3. "I can remember my better catches and after all, I'm the only one I'm fishing to satisfy". Seems you already answered your own question. Personally, I am just wired different. A-Jay
  4. @roadwarrior Covered it. Done. A-Jay

Good Luck. Local crops have yet to be harvested because of ALL THE RAIN. 3 weeks worth. As usual, tons and tons of does every morning and again at sunset. Zero bucks. Despite baiting being illegal, Every gas station sells pallets of 'compost' daily. Stay Safe A-Jay
  7. Jane & Daisy Doe are some of our regular visitors ~ This is from this morning. (not even mentioning the snow) A-Jay
  8. I have ELITE 28 HYDROSTATIC INFLATABLE PFDs (Model: MD5183) & ACCEL 100 FISHING FOAM VESTs (Model: MV4626) in the Pro-V Bass Boat. There's a HIT HYDROSTATIC INFLATABLE PFD (Model: MD3183 02) on me for every trip in the Old Town Canoe. https://mustangsurvival.com/ Often imitated, rarely duplicated. A-Jay
  9. I respect other's opinions on much of what is in this one but sometimes I don't share them. When used responsibly, Catch & Release into a properly maintained live well is not a death sentence. When legal to do so, I 'use' my live well - quite a bit too. Have not realized any difference in fish mortality rate either way. So sometimes I do 'Glory Shots' with one bass. And sometimes I'm holding two bass. In the end I think we all learn as we go and being good stewards of the habitat is never really a bad idea. YMMV A-Jay
  10. Total Body Day 1 this morning but there were a couple of modifications made. My Powertec unit suffered a broken weld on the movement arm. So until that is replaced/repaired, I'll be working around that. No plans to let that little deal slow me down. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  11. Perfect ~ Brings true meaning to the term 'Basshead'. A-Jay
  12. All Good ~ My personal favorites and I'll number them 6 & 7, are: #6 Remembering that there will be hard water for at least 5 months here. That usually does it for me. #7 - Take a week long trip to a world class fishery with a good buddy. A-Jay
  13. Bass Trackers can't really be compared to Deep -V Lund hulls. You get what you pay for. My Lund IPS2 hull is quite capable when operated by an experienced human. A-Jay
  14. Hello and Welcome to Bass Resource ~ A-Jay
  15. Thanks and that has been discussed as well. One way or the other we'll get it done. A-Jay
  16. During my warm ups on Leg Presses this morning, I noticed a weld has failed on my PowerTec Leverage unit. REALLY glad I saw this before it actually failed, Because I was a few minutes away from adding the weight that would have surely turned this into something else. The unit is 14 years old and I have replaced a few smaller deals during that time. Not sure if this part is still available but I sent the manufacture my request and we'll wait & see how that goes. Either way, my training will need to be modified a bit until this is resolved. Really hope I don't need to get a new unit. A-Jay
  17. AYU & PERCH are my top producers and have been for a while When it comes to jig head colors, do well with whatever color a plain tungsten head is as well as just black. This Ayu color/pattern by Dobyns matches well with the above baits and most of the other 'natural colors I fish for brown bass here. A-Jay
  18. October ~ The air cools, the wind blows and Kya plays in the leaves ~ A-Jay
  19. Put the wraps on 2023 ~ Local populations seem decent. A-Jay
  20. I say bring back the public Stoning, or lapidation. A method of capital punishment where a group throws stones at a person until the subject dies from blunt trauma. It has been attested as a form of punishment for grave misdeeds since ancient times. Bet that would light up TikTok. A-Jay
  21. Total Body Day 4 this morning. After sufficient warm ups, I completed 3 working sets of the 5 scheduled movements. Showing the last 2 sets of each here. When I manage to get this right, my body lets me know it. This one felt like that. #borninfiftynine No clue why this video is not visible ? A-Jay
  22. The pristine waters of northern Michigan were very good to me. Here's a few of this season's more memorable catches. A-Jay
  23. Sage advice ~ An old sherpa once told me that sheep tell no secrets. I never really knew what the heck that meant. But to this day, I still do not talk to sheep. A-Jay
  24. The bigger inland lakes here that are 'connected' to the Great Lakes (rivers) have gobies and the smb get pretty big on those water. But several of the smaller lakes I fish are not connected, have no gobies but still get pretty beefy. This fish is a perfect example - caught last November . . . Finally I use a wide angle camera lens and hold the fish very close to the camera, so there's a good bit of that going on here too. In other words, all I every catch is little dink bass. A-Jay
  25. I can not say one way or the other if performing your own work is something that would void a warranty. But having it serviced my an authorized Mercury tech takes that out of play. A-Jay
