  1. Ah . . . the good old days. A-Jay
  2. Spinning numbers ? LOL Are you still getting free flatware with 5 fill ups ? A-Jay
  3. This is and will always be very sad. At least they located the victims fairly quickly which isn't always the case. Dead men tell no tales so "what happened" will never truly be known. Not uncommon I'm afraid. The vessel specifics were not offered either which might tell part of the story. Carnage on the water has been going on for a long time. USCG makes the 'stats' available to everyone. It's hard to believe, even after seeing so much of it first hand. https://www.uscgboating.org/statistics/accident_statistics.php This is from 2022 - in the US. There's a lot of information in this link but it is sadly sobering. If nothing else- look at pages 6 & 7. https://www.uscgboating.org/library/accident-statistics/Recreational-Boating-Statistics-2022.pdf Stay Safe A-Jay
  4. I especially like when the blade gets teeth marks on both sides. A-Jay
  5. Take a look at the Lund 2025 Impact XS or even the 1875 Crossover XS. You get the 25 inch transom on both and quite a bit of what you're looking for. https://www.lundboats.com/ Good Luck A-Jay
  6. Sorry to hear this ~ Hope you and Melody can be feeling better very soon. A-Jay
  7. Hit Local Lake Menderchuck for an later afternoon / sunset trip. Weather was crazy nice - like summer, so I really had no choice. Coincidentally, this thought was running ramped through the minds of what seemed like every pontoon and Jet Ski operator in the tri-state area. More on that later. Either way, I committed to throwing horizontal moving baits along the perimeter of a historically productive main lake flat. So 4-8 feet with plenty of cabbage on the flat. I was being kept company by an abundance of bait making expectation of contact with a few smb, at least reasonable. I my mind anyway. Squarebills, spinnerbaits, Rattlebaits, vibrating jigs all looked good but never drew any attention. My rig, on the other hand, seemed to be the focal point of every recreational vessel on the lake as they all just had to pass close aboard and even were thoughtful enough to run circles around me. I love that. It's all good and they have every right. But it usually doesn't help my catch rate. So after a couple of hours of this, I bailed. But not before catching my first "Dock Demon". A jackhammer crawled along the bottom snagged some line and during the recovery process a sweet little Zebco (zip tied to an ice fishing rod) was my prize. Before departing, I decided to stop on a main lake point that was 'sort of' off the general path being taken by the circus. Proved to be a decent move as there ended up being a school of small but willing participants positioned off the end of it. A rage bug on a swinghead turned them all into biters. For several minutes it was brown bass every cast, or at least a bite. All trophies in training but it was a fun way to finish this one up, especially after such a pretty sunset. Fish Hard A-Jay
  8. Click. Bait. Thank You. I'm here all week. Try the Veal. A-Jay
  9. Lake was 'Busy'. AB Wheel Tried it a few times and it was hard on my lower back. That said, when performed correctly, this exercise is the real deal. It may feel like your abs are tearing in two, and you’ll surely experience the soreness for yourself the next day. FORM MISTAKES TO AVOID ~Don’t start with the hips: Starting this movement by driving your hips downward is a no-no. This causes your lower back to arch, taking the tension out of the core. Start with rolling forward, keeping your glutes engaged, and avoid bringing your hips backward during the concentric contraction. The key is staying within a range of motion you can control. ~Correct setup and tension: This is not an exercise you hurry to set up or perform. Set up in the correct position described above, grip the ab wheel or barbell tight, and engage your glutes to keep a neutral spine. ~Keep your elbows straight: Some lifters bend their elbows without noticing, shifting some of the emphasis to the triceps, which takes away from the abs. Essentially, it makes this exercise easier, and you don’t want that. Make sure to keep your elbows locked throughout the entire exercise. ~Don’t let the hips sag: The whole point of the ab wheel rollout is to prevent low back extension, and when your hips sag toward the ground during the rollout, you can be sure it’s happening. Keeping your glutes engaged the entire time will prevent this. Have fun A-Jay
  10. Nicely Done ~ Congrats Time for new Crocs A-Jay
  11. Way more too it than that for me. In this case the wind direction and cloud cover can help promove fisg to come and perhaps stay shallow. A-Jay
  12. Well I for one believe that the powers that be really do need to see their way clear to write an exception forth with to these long standing by laws. Laws are made to be broken, and this is one of those times. Climb out of the dark ages you don't CHa ! ? A-Jay
  13. I'm looking at Thur Fri Sat & Sun - All morning bites . . . A-Jay

  16. My Casting reel mainline and spinning reel leader line needs are covered nicely with this. A-Jay
  17. Typical unstable early October weather in the north woods. Daily air temps in the 30, the 80's and everything in between. My trips to Northern Lake Menderchuck can start out wearing a snow suit and end sporting nothing by a jock strap & a Sailors Cap ! A-Jay
  18. Took my scheduled off day plus two fishing days. Loved that. Complete Legs 2 this morning which was 3 working sets of 3 movements. Last one of each was a drop set. Showing that here. And something that I can't actually account for, but really appreciate, is that this thread has had over 500 views since my last video. Thank You very much ! Please know that is very motivating. #borninfiftynine A-Jay
  19. There ya go ~ Nicely Done Congrats A-Jay
  20. Last few blood test results have come back "better'. So the schedule for them has been modified from weekly to twice a month. This is one of those things, that on the surface, might not seem like much. But in our little world, it's a Big Deal. Enough in fact that Lynn's overall 'Spirit" is back to a level not seen in, let's just call it "A While". When she's feeling better - So am I. Changes things. Stay Healthy & Safe and we both appreciate your support. A-Jay
  21. Fall spinnerbait bite was on fire today. Points in the wind were loaded up. Going back in the morning hoping for some topwater action. Water temps are still in the mid 60's. I like it. A-Jay
  22. In this area Brown bass are often so spread out that it's one here and one there type of deal. Was that way today. Other times they are grouped up and seemed to all be on the same type of structure. Good thing about that is that it is REPEATABLE. Hardest part of for me is deciding where to start. Shallow or deep or somewhere in between. I do WAY better once more fish move deep and Stay there. Feed windows this time of year are tiny. Something early and something late with mostly nothing in between. Hate that. Going again tomorrow. early. Expect to start shallow. A-Jay
